Safe Shopping with Crypto: Escrow, Transparency, and Support

You may be wondering—is it safe to shop with crypto? The answer is yes, especially when you’re using a platform like Hamza, which is built with buyer protection in mind.

Hamza uses escrow smart contracts to ensure a fair and secure shopping experience. Here’s how it works:

  • When you place an order with crypto, the funds are held in escrow.
  • The seller only receives the payment once the product is delivered and you confirm satisfaction.
  • If something goes wrong, you’re protected.

This means there’s no need to worry about crypto being sent into the void. It’s a system built on transparency and accountability—without relying on centralized gatekeepers.

Additionally, Hamza enables direct chat with sellers, so you can ask questions, request details, or clarify anything before purchasing. It’s personalized, secure, and built for real people—not bots.

Why Wellness + Crypto Just Makes Sense

Combining wellness and crypto may seem unconventional at first, but in reality, it’s a perfect match:

  • Decentralization = Control: Just like taking charge of your health, crypto puts financial control back in your hands.
  • Borderless Shopping: You can shop wellness products from global sellers without worrying about currency exchange or payment blocks.
  • Community-Driven: Both wellness and crypto are communities filled with people seeking better alternatives to traditional systems.

Hamza exists at this intersection—making it easier for conscious consumers to shop in ways that align with their values.

Shopping online offers the ease of browsing, comparing, and purchasing—all from the comfort of your home. But while traditional e-commerce (Web2) platforms made online shopping accessible, they also brought limitations: hidden fees, lack of transparency, and little to no control over your data.

Enter Web3 e-commerce – the next evolution of online shopping built on blockchain technology. It puts buyers in control, prioritizes privacy, and opens up access to a new world of global, trustless commerce. In this blog, we’ll break down how it works and why it might just change how you shop online forever.

Why Web3 E-Commerce Is Better for Buyers Than Traditional Online Shopping

Let’s start with the basics: what makes Web3 e-commerce different from what you’re used to?

FeatureWeb2 (Traditional Shopping)Web3 (Decentralized Shopping)
ControlPlatforms manage everythingBuyers interact directly with sellers
DataCollected and sold by platformsOwned and controlled by you
TransparencyLow; backend hiddenHigh; blockchain records everything
PaymentsCredit cards, banksCrypto, stablecoins, borderless payments
TrustCentralized reviews & ratingsVerifiable on-chain transactions

These aren’t just technical upgrades. They solve real problems that online shoppers deal with every day.

Why Shop With Crypto Or Web3 Style

1. You Keep Control of Your Data

Web2 platforms track your clicks, purchases, and preferences—then sell that information to advertisers. In Web3, your data stays yours. You shop without being followed across the internet, and no centralized party profits off your behavior.

2. Transparent Pricing and Authenticity

Ever wonder if a review is real? Or if a price hike was just a marketing trick? Web3 solves this with blockchain. You can verify seller histories, see past transaction prices, and trust that what you’re buying is what you’re promised.

3. Global Access with Fewer Barriers

Web2 e-commerce often excludes buyers without access to bank accounts or credit cards. With Web3, you only need a crypto wallet. That means anyone, anywhere, can shop without the usual financial gatekeepers.

4. Secure, Direct Payments

Crypto payments through smart contracts mean no third-party processors, fewer fees, and faster confirmations. You pay the seller directly, without waiting days for transfers or worrying about payment holds.

5. Better Privacy and Anonymity

Want to shop without giving up your email, phone number, or identity? Web3 makes that possible. You can transact anonymously, or pseudonymously, while still receiving goods securely.

6. Fairer Ecosystems

By cutting out middlemen, sellers earn more and can offer better prices. That’s a win-win for everyone. When sellers aren’t losing 30% to fees, you’re not paying inflated prices.

So Where Can You Shop Web3-Style?

While Web3 e-commerce is still growing, one platform that stands out for buyer experience is Hamza.

Discover Hamza

Hamza is a decentralized e-commerce platform where you can buy physical products using crypto. Think artisanal goods, limited-edition fashion, electronics, and more – all from sellers who are part of a global, Web3-native community.

On Hamza, you:

  • Pay directly with stablecoins or crypto
  • Shop with more privacy and less friction
  • Support sellers without middlemen
  • Enjoy an open, fairer online marketplace

Whether you’re a seasoned crypto user or just curious about the future of shopping, Hamza offers a seamless way to experience Web3 e-commerce firsthand.

Final Thoughts

The Web3 era of online shopping is about giving power back to buyers and sellers alike. For shoppers, that means lower fees, better privacy, and greater transparency. It’s not just a new way to shop—it’s a better one.

If you’re ready to explore e-commerce without borders or compromise, check out Hamza and see how decentralized shopping can work for you.

Happy shopping!

In Episode 4 of Decom Talks, we have Casper from Drunetic, one of Hamza’s first sellers, to discuss his journey into the natural supplement business. Casper shares how his personal health optimization and challenges finding clean, filler-free supplements in Europe led him to start his own brand focused on 100% organic, natural products. The conversation touches on issues with mainstream pharmaceuticals, the rise in health consciousness post-pandemic, and the philosophy of empowering individuals to take control of their own health. The episode also covers recent developments at Hamza, including the launch of a DePIN device by Big Water, upcoming events like the Southeast Asia Blockchain Conference and Decom Nights in Bangkok, and new platform features like cross-chain payments, coupon codes, and direct seller chats.

Transcript:
(00:00) [Music] hello everybody or good morning good evening good afternoon wherever in the world you find yourself to be welcome to the fourth decom talks on Twitter spaces we’re very happy to have with us today Casper from Junetic he’s one of our first sellers but before we get into that I would like to make some some brief announcements and well first of all last last week we had I’m sorry last last during the last talks that was on the third decom talks we had as guest the people from Big Water they’re a deepen
(00:44) company and deepen as some of you may knows or may not know stands for decentralized physical infrastructure network so what big water does is they they they deal with different data collecting data from the environment reference to to air quality and water quality and they they produce they they they manufacture this device which is an air purifier that collects different environmental data and the the owner of the device it uses it as a sort of a mining device so that he as he contributes data to the to the big water
(01:25) blockchain he gets crypto in reward so last week we launched we successfully launched we at Hamsa successfully launched the deep pin device and it’s live right now you can go in it and look up Big Water and if you buy a device which is pretty cheap cheap considering the price of these devices you may get up to a 50% rebate if you do so before April 30th okay so also we we would normally have Mike Mike Molini with us today but he’s in a in a in a few events he’s pretty busy right now he’s doing the Southeast Asia
(02:09) blockchain conference next week and there’s also a decom talks next week which also coincides with his birthday so happy birthday to you Mike in advance i know you’re listening and yes hey hello yeah how are you excellent how are you doing an I’m good i’m good yes yeah so next week we’re we’re excited for that we have decom nights and also celebrating Mike’s magical birthday yeah ing the Southeast Asian blockchain yeah it’s going to be held in Bangkok and so and we’re we’re looking forward to
(02:49) meeting great lines and what’s this great people in Bangkok so will you be there Jose i’ll try to make it for sure yeah I’m down with that i’m not not physically of course but I’ll be I’ll be around in cyerspace like as I usually am yes also we’re having some some pretty exciting well besides all this Southeast Asia blockchain conference and stuff and the decom nights which of course will well there’s lots of interesting people from the space attending um we’re also having
(03:23) some pretty interesting developments on the Hamsa front the devs are working on the cross crosschain payments we’re looking into supporting Coin and Solana payments but that’s still in the works it’s going to take some time but next week the the devs tell me they’re they’re also doing there they’re opening they’re creating support for coupon codes so that sellers can issue coupons discount coupons to the to the potential buyers and they can go in and cash in their coupons and get a rebate on their
(03:57) purchases so that’s pretty exciting and we’re also looking to support seller and the general public chat so that if anybody has a has an inquiry concerning one of the products that we sell on Hamsa they can directly contact the seller uh they can do so now but it’s it’s more of an indirect thing because you see I’m the I’m the customer support guy so most of the consumer inquiries are directed to me but in pretty soon that you’ll be able to chat with the sellers themselves so slowly but surely
(04:35) we’re getting into a full-blown e-commerce platform just like we envisioned so that’s that on that front and right now let me talk a little bit about the Jetic store and our guy Casper who’s here with us tonight i’m sorry today and well Jonetic is one of our first stores it’s one of our first seller cohorts and genetic sells natural supplements uh from various with various properties so we’re talking about natural medicine so I would like to kick off by asking Casper if Casper if you can you please
(05:16) request to talk yes thank you welcome welcome Casper casper so so how did you get started in the in the natural supplement business how how did that come about that came about that I was doing a lot of biohacking myself and optimizing my health and by doing that then sometimes you come across certain supplements that you want to use and at that moment in time I was in Europe and actually it’s not so easy to go to a normal pharmacy and get something natural and that’s really good for your body because once you start to
(05:55) get into supplements you start to know that a lot of the bigger companies actually they they want they want to portray it’s really healthy but inside if you look at the ingredient list often there’s things inside that is not very good for the body and yeah I came across that a lot of lot of the times when I was searching for certain supplements so it was actually hard to find something that was yeah I imagine I I imagine that’s that that’s very difficult and big farmer doesn’t want you to to be
(06:25) healthy either right doesn’t help but Casper when when did you begin doing this was it before the pandemic or was it in reality it’s not really that healthy and I think a lot of people come across this i’m not the only one heard the same story from a lot of other people and that’s actually what inspired me to create my own oh oops it seems that I don’t know about you guys but I’m I’m not hearing Casper oh so uh I I hear him okay Jose how about how about Yeah I heard Casper yes so uh thanks for that
(07:06) Casper how about now are you able to hear can you hear me now Jose sorry Casper i I mean you were you were seem you’re visibly talking but I’m not I wasn’t hearing you so sorry I interrupted that time because I thought you were you were finished talking i I didn’t I didn’t get the last things you said well the last thing I said was that that’s that’s the story why I got inspired to make my own it was the the fact that when you wanted to buy supplements for yourself often you find
(07:34) that some of the supplements had dextrins or some kind of fillers or stuff inside of it that shouldn’t be there and that inspired me to make my own and to find a good source where you could get everything certified organic you can get every um and you could customize it in such a way that you wouldn’t have any of the fillers or because normally when you when you work with any extracts from plants most of the suppliers they would they would actually use fillers let’s say you have a plant compound that is uh
(08:09) 95% pure whatever compound then the last 5% would be some kind of fillers and that would be maybe dextrins and dextrins are some a compound that actually spikes your blood glucose levels higher than sugar so that’s not really healthy for for you that’s why to to find a good source where you could create your own supplements and only use natural compounds 100% organic this is this is what led me to that the fact that often you would struggle to find that in in any pharmaceutical pharmacy across Europe
(08:49) when I was there and sometimes also even when you go to find supplements on various online markets that would also be often like hidden surprises that not really that good for you so that’s why sometimes it can be it can be difficult for the average person to navigate in terms of what is really good for me because a lot of it is hidden in the ingredient list and sometimes probably they don’t even show it so for me it was it was necessary to to make my own and be sure that there was not going to be any
(09:28) adverse health ingredients inside of it so like like a pure product where no hidden surprises were this is what I wanted to create and this is also what we got now actually yes Casper I I understand dextrin is is basically sugar right it’s it’s it’s what is that what they call exipient in a in a certain medical compound is that is that is that an exipient you have different dextrins but most people have heard about mealtodextrin and yeah it’s it’s it’s a sugar product and it’s it spikes your
(10:04) glucose levels higher than sugar so it’s not something that you should really aim for to have even in small amounts i would just personally I would not like it yeah but I I imagine this takes a a little bit quite a lot of knowhow actually to to be able to to find natural substitutes for these exipient compounds like dextrin so do you have some sort of like training or or or have you had some sort of training or education before you started this project did you study pharmacy or something no I didn’t study pharmacy but I’ve
(10:43) studied plants and extracts and recently let’s say half a year ago I did a a course with the traditional Chinese medicine so it’s like yeah I’m bringing knowledge from different areas put together to that’s quite a lot of study there i mean here we have something called a toxinous medicine which is what the indigenous people used and they know a lot but it’s just not recognized formally in the in the medical in the medical world and that that’s a problem because these things I I mean I personally believe
(11:19) they’re way more effective than than any pharmaceutical uh excuse the word crap that that you put in your body but yeah I imagine so so it was quite a it was quite a rabbit hole that you dived into there and Casper I was I was going to ask you when when did you start this was it before or after the pandemic well actually this this was after the pandemic i think that a lot of people became very health consscious after the pandemic and I’m one of them and it led me it led me down a rabbit hole to figure out what’s what’s actually truth
(11:56) about health and who can you trust because a lot of people use used to trust doctors and pharmaceutical all that but then you see we have the sickest population probably ever so the question is should you look for somewhere else to trust regarding your health or should you try to educate yourself to be your own doctor this is one of the things they really they want people to be able to do in let’s say traditional Chinese medicine they want people to also be their own doctor to understand their own body and not give
(12:29) their power away to somebody to some doctor in an office who which probably don’t know much about nutrition or lifestyle changes and they would rather just subscribe you a pill so you’ be a yeah a regular customer for the pharmaceut pharmaceutical industry and this is I’m very much against that i think that you should empower people to to take care of their own health and not just give them an easy solution and make them stay in their bad lifestyle if if that’s what’s causing the problems so
(13:00) finding the root cause in in terms of just symptom treating exactly which is more in line with the original medical ethos of let’s let your your food be your was it Hypocrates or somebody let your food be your medicine yeah your medicine yeah exactly so yeah I mean I’ve I’ve heard a lot of stories of people post pandemics my sister is one of those she’s a biohacker too and yeah the pandemic opened a lot of people’s eyes and like like you said it led them to take charge and responsibility of their own health
(13:36) because most people look at at a doctor it’s like okay here I am cure me but I understand that the natural medicine takes a different approach it’s like you’re also responsible for your own health so how what would you how would you what would you recommend to somebody who who wanted to learn about all this stuff and natural medicine to better appreciate your products that that you that you’re selling on Hamsa for example like to appreciate how effective they are and for what for what ailments and
(14:08) conditions they’re better suited where where would you recommend somebody start learning about this is there any bibliography or resources that you that you can recommend well I think if I were to mention a great person a great person which are very educational and that I also myself learned a lot from would be the the woman from Australia Barbara O’Neal she’s very good at also mentioning a lot about her oh yeah i love her she’s there of her her material out there on YouTube and stuff so Barbara
(14:44) Yes barbara O’Neal yeah she’s really good she knows a lot yeah so let’s get into the products that that you’re selling on on on that you that we’re selling on Hamsa you have four products basically and the the product names are are pretty much the plant like the like the main plant ingredient let’s start with let let’s see let let me let me fire up the Hamsa site and and look at these these products and go over them together and see what if you can briefly tell us like what their properties are what their
(15:21) what they’re used for and all that stuff i think the the first one is the first one that you have you have five products if I’m not mistaken here right five on Yeah yeah the first one that I’m seeing is Spirulina Moringa now moringa I’m I’m familiar with that because you see I live in Venezuela and we have this plant and and it’s pretty widely used especially among like old people and who who know something about traditional medicine they use it a lot and and I understand they use most of the plant
(15:55) parts but can you talk to us about spirulina about the spirulina moringa supplement please yeah the product well the thing is uh when you look at like synthetic vitamin and minerals compared to natural vitamin and minerals you can easily take out of proportion the synthetic ones so example would be you have a lot of calcium but not a but not enough magnesium or you have vitamin D3 but you don’t have K2 so there’s always like it it’s like if you get too much of one thing it can make an imbalance whereas if you get it from
(16:36) plant material it’s already in right proportions so you not get that imbalance and basically this is why the the natural side of or more like the holistic side of supplementation I think is sometimes a lot safer especially if you are not a super professional biohacker which knows exactly the ratio what you need then when you when you take it from nature you have already the right proportions in place so you not get like imbalances in the same Hey that was just to explain why some of the let’s say moringa is very nutrientdense
(17:16) the same as spulina so you with this product you’ll get the right proportions of what the body needs and also moringa and spulina has it actually has three three no four ingredients it has wheat grass as well and it also has ginger ginger extract so they all very alkalizing for the body which means it’s detoxifying the cells it removes heavy metals and it gives it also upregulates the body’s own well our own defense mechanism called NRF2 it’s like a gene that is expressed and one while while we
(17:57) age this expression is minimized but with the with certain plant compounds it help to express these genes again and this is our own innate defense mechanism which is uh which is very necessary for the body to handle any oxidative stress and we are exposed to that every day all the time most most people and So in this formulation you have ginger because ginger is always used to as a synergistic herb it helps move the other ingredients around the body with the blood and that in that way it boosts the whole formulation so it reaches all
(18:41) around the body and so spulina moringa is is a is a detox product at the same time it cleanses and gives you a lot of energy and it is very nutrientdense so you at the same time get a lot of vitamins minerals what you actually need and the new formulation that’s coming out is moringa extract 10 to one so you would actually get a bit more than the the let’s say the old product the the in the test phase we had the the normal spirulina maringa but now we we change it to extracted form moringa so it’s 10
(19:18) times more powerful as well okay so so this will be a new product then Casper right this well it’s it’s the same product just enhanced just just enhanced functions yeah I I get what you’re saying about the the imbalances of minerals and vitamins and stuff yeah that’s that’s that’s a big problem but I was reading on the on the on the description it talks about grass okay so spirulina binds to heavy metals yeah because it it killates with the heavy metals that that’s so they binds and microlastics i find that super super
(19:54) interesting because I Fred I I I don’t know I don’t know too much about the topic Casper and correct me if I’m wrong but I read that microplastics is like a major health problem nowadays because we get most of our stuff packaged in plastics and we have just so much plastics inside our bodies that so much BPA and and and all that stuff that it’s and it’s really really interesting to to see that this product helps get rid of of that stuff yeah some of the algaes like wheat grass chlorella spelina this
(20:29) is one of some of the most cleansing for our body to be honest to remove things that doesn’t belong and we have a lot of microplastic accumulating in the body same as heavy metals nowadays so to have something like this to to help you detox all that crap is very important because the more it accumulates the more oxidated damage or stress it also gives to the body so to try to get rid of it and to minimize the damage which is impossible not to get affected by I think is very very important for most people for every
(21:06) people everyone actually yeah oxidative stress I get that and also it’s I think it’s important that this this this product restores the alkalinity most of us due to our modern diet we we’re we’re way too acidic in our blood so this helps to restore the alkaline balance the the pH um I have I have an autistic son and autism is mostly well well there’s several theories of that one of the theories is that they have some problem in their guts and a lot of and there’s also the topic of of metals heavy metals which is
(21:46) one of the theories what that that explains how how autism is is caused but the problem is my son will not take anything like easily any any any sort of pill or capsule or that stuff so I imagine these things come in like like a sort of like a some sort of coating and and you can take it apart and maybe put the the contents of the capsule or something into a drink that he’s that he’s taking can you can you do that with easy yeah you can easily do that for sure i imagine I imagine the flavor is also not not very strong because that
(22:26) that’s a that’s a topic with autistic kids like they’re very sensitive to certain flavors and certain textures and all that stuff so it it it’s something that can go unnoticed if if you were to do that if you were to pour the the the contents of a capsule to drink well depending on how sensitive he is but I would say if you had like a juice and you put something in the juice the capsule in the juice I think it would be okay i think the thing is you can’t really change spulina and wheat grass
(23:00) moringa is not the most like delicious thing to drink but if you mix it with something else it it could go unnoticed i would say it that’s Yeah excellent i’m I’m already I’m already wanting to buy one of one of your products Casper but unfortunately it seems that you sell only within Thailand right is that is that correct well we just I found a shipping company to ship it to Europe but you you need to buy more than one product for it to make sense but yeah we are I am sending some of it to Europe i
(23:38) think I’ve sent some a package to Spain and one to Denmark and I’m going to send two more to Denmark soon and then there’s going to be products in Europe any plans of expanding to the to the Americas be it North or South America well I can send the package there as well this the shipping company do actually operate in Europe and America but and I maybe also South America to be honest but let’s say Middle East it it doesn’t it’s it’s a bit harder to find some destinations are pretty hard to
(24:12) deal with and that’s that’s a yeah a logistics is something that’s very complex but just just so that Casper recently like in our last sprint the devs developed some functionalities for for being more specific on the shipping and handling cost of of products available on Hamsa so that you’re so that the seller is able to specify with like according to the destination country you can specify the shipping cost and maybe maybe we should review after we next week we should start reviewing if if you’re if you’re having other if you’re
(24:50) offering the product to other destinations we could start reviewing like making a list of of of shipping and handling cost per the destinations that you now cover and also I was thinking I was thinking that maybe because it wouldn’t make sense to buy just one and pay a whole bunch of money just for the shipping and handling cost so I imagine that that with certain requisites like if you if you’re having if you’re buying five or more or maybe or maybe having the product in presentations of like say
(25:22) a package of 10 of 10 bottles of of of spirulina moringa for example you’re able to ship those to a to a country and pay so much in shipping and handling that sort of stuff may maybe we ought to look into that next week Casper if you don’t mind yeah we can do that easy yeah cuz I mean I think your product is I love your stuff man i wish I could buy some myself lucky Mike he bought some for you a while back ago right yeah he did yeah he he’s not here with us now i know he’s listening but I think he owes
(25:57) us an unboxing and and his and your review on Hamsa of course yeah sure i think so too yeah I think we ought to we ought to get on that so how’s your how has your Hamsa experience been Casper how do you see how do you see a decentralized marketplace like Hamsa benefiting sellers like yourself well I think it’s I think it’s something that we need in the future because certain other online platforms it can be sometimes really hard to get your product on there and right now since I’m the I’m based in Thailand and sometimes
(26:36) some of the platforms there they they want a lot of documentation and you’re trying to find everything it needs and then sometimes they just reject you without any real reason and you can’t get any explanation and then you have a a site like Hamster which is straightforward and much easier to work with and I think that the new sellers or upcoming sellers like me would Yeah I really enjoy that it’s it’s more simple to work with and easy to work with compared to some of these other older online platforms which are more let’s
(27:11) say there’s a lot of regulation and rules and sometimes you have no support to understand what’s the next step for me to have my products on here and that can be a bit frustrating sometimes when you are new and you just want your product out there to be exposed but you’re not able to for some reason yeah I I imagine that i I imagine it’s like next to impossible to to offer a product like this on on Amazon i mean because Amazon I didn’t even Yeah I didn’t even bother with that because it would be
(27:43) probably you’d have to pay for you for having your stuff there the first a long period of time so you just not really when you when you upcoming you also want to have some cash flow so if you if you’re just putting your stuff on on a site and they actually charge you more than you earn then it doesn’t make any sense yeah plastia I imagine that Amazon being the decentral the centralized monster that it is it wouldn’t be too happy if to have somebody go against the the big pharma stuff i imagine it’s just me
(28:18) talking here but yeah there’s probably something in it about that so So how did how did you hear about Hamsa how did you how did you find us Casper i met the mic at a e-commerce meeting in the Shanghai oh okay and after that yeah I just was quite curious because for me I like I like web three and I like crypto and I like well I like I think it’s quite modern and I think a lot of people will will look into that in the future because you have more freedom and you don’t need to be it’s not as difficult to have your
(28:57) for me to get my product on hamster was fairly easy and I had a lot of help and support compared to some of the other online platforms and so yeah I heard from it from Mike and I wanted I was curious and I’m happy that I have my my shop there now excellent yeah we’re very happy that you have your shop with us too because that that’s that’s a lot of value that that’s the kind of value that we seek with on Ham having sellers like yourself offer not not industrial manufacturing big pharma stuff but the
(29:31) the kind of stuff that you wouldn’t find elsewhere you you you could find it here that that’s one of my that’s one of my dreams actually seeing a whole bunch of stuff like that listed on Hamsa yeah but I would like to ask you something Casper is is your clientele familiar with crypto or do do they are are they used to paying in crypto there is some that I know is familiar with crypto but the majority are not but I think that it will change in the future and most people will be using crypto I think so
(30:08) what do you think that’s I I think so too i mean personally I I’m I’m coming from Venezuela and right now I don’t know if you’ve read anything about Venezuela but there’s a whole bunch of stuff happening with currency exchange controls and the the US sanctions on the country making it very difficult for people to deal with with US dollars or US dollar banking so if if for example I wanted to buy a product like yours and I would have to pay it through the USD through the normal banking rails and
(30:43) payment systems I wouldn’t be able to because I don’t have access to that it’s just quite quite simply that that’s how it is so in in this country most people are are flocking to cryptos just out of necessity because for us there’s no USD banking system or or euros or any of that so yeah as I see I don’t want to get too much into politics but as I see what Trump is doing sanctioning countries left and right I I I definitely do see more of a future with with these sort of platforms and and cryptos in general
(31:23) people being able to transact with with crypto and that’s that’s actually one of the main value propositions of Hamsa that that not only are you able to do that but since we use an escro system we don’t manage the users’s funds we just I mean that if if I for example if I buy a product on your store if I buy the Spirulina moringa which I hope to uh sometime soon I would I would make a payment but that payment goes into escrow what that means is that it goes into a smart contract okay and then you
(32:02) start the the pro the the order processing you you ship the product you send me the the tracking link I am able to see if the product has arrived at the destination and then once once once we know that the product is is at the final destination you mark it as delivered you as a seller would mark it as delivered and the buyer has to mark it as as as received as completed so once I do that the escore is released and you get your payment that’s it i mean no more fees no more no more fees than is necessary like
(32:42) like for example Amazon and other e-commerce platforms they charge you a whole bunch of fees for different things just for keeping your store and that stuff mike Mike could better speak about that because Mike knows quite a lot about that but a hamsa is different so I see it as a very promising a very promising proposition yeah I think it’s the way to go that you basically it’s like it’s I think it’s always like that isn’t it when when some companies get too big they just start to care less about let’s say average person
(33:19) and that’s what we don’t want we want we don’t want a lot of fees to be able to trade with one another it should be between the two parties and not Yeah exactly i mean we while we do hope to grow we’re we’re using a decentralized model which means that we won’t have a complete control monolithic control over everything over every transaction like like we’re going to freeze these this sellers funds and we’re going to screw him over uh none of that none of that because it works as a decentralized DAO
(33:54) and there’s going to be a a token to ensure that that that actors are are are are doing what they’re supposed to be doing and so that sellers are being honest and buyers are also being honest because everybody’s reputation will be on the blockchain so we we don’t we don’t we don’t intend to to have that monolithic control over everything like like other e-commerce platforms do so yeah that’s that’s the future of Hamsa but I would like you to talk a little bit more about the future of Denetic and when can we
(34:32) expect more more products more updates more I is there any any page we can follow to to to read about your journey or your recommendations for different products and stuff yeah I got I got an Instagram and I’m sharing the product information but I’m also sharing general let’s say lifestyle ways to yeah healthy lifestyle recommendation and that’s in that is inspired in how the body actually works and traditional medicine and what we used to do in the past and not just what we’ve been told to do the last 100 years
(35:12) so I’m sharing a lot of different things in there not only products but as I mentioned also like like health health advice like yeah longevity lifestyle kind of advice cuz I’m I’m I’m quite fascinated by how the body really works and what the body is capable of doing once you give it give it the right conditions and once you eliminate some of the things that is taking its energy so I’m I’m I’m using my Instagram to do that at the same time so it’s not only pure products but it’s also like what to
(35:48) avoid and which things are good for you and yeah to to put things into to try to get the average person to understand is it really matters sometimes not only what you eat but also what you eat has been eating or where it come where it comes from the source of your food a lot of things so it’s not only the products but also like general I would say longevity lifestyle advice yeah that that would definitely be for a value of immense value to a lot of people including myself it’s not it’s not just the body it’s also the mind and
(36:26) and even why not say it spirituality if you start taking if you start taking responsibility of your health and your body you’re also you’re also begin taking responsibility of your emotional well-being and and other other facets of of your of your existence i’m I’m looking forward to and I know lots of our our listeners are I’m looking forward to following you on Instagram and seeing these updates but right now Casper I’m just realizing by reading your store description on Hamsa that we
(37:02) don’t have your Instagram account there yeah that’s a mistake so that’s that that’s something we need to fix ASAP man okay le let’s get on that next week or this week as soon as possible to to to to fix that right now i don’t I don’t know if you if you were Yeah I believe that you were able to get on the seller admin panel you know that’s that’s a functionality that that our sellers have to be able to edit their store information and their product information so if you if you were to go on your
(37:36) seller admin panel I can help you with doing that later maybe tomorrow if you want uh we Yeah that would be great add your your Instagram account your and maybe other other social media accounts that that you that you would consider worthwhile putting out there so that people can follow your your information and your updates that would be that would be awesome man yeah i think is necessary so Casper any any closing thoughts on on health or on natural health or decentralized e-commerce that you’d care to share with us yeah well it’s not only
(38:19) I think the products that are going to come in the future as well is all going to have like an area of focus let’s say one of the upcoming one is going to be very focused regarding insulin resistance because most people nowadays is pre diabetic i would say 45% of the population in the world has some kind of problem with diabet pre-diabetic and that’s a major problem because that’s al you a thing like Alzheimer’s is like a pre-I well well diabetic diabetes type three so the thing is it’s one of the
(38:57) most well vicious diseases that evolves to something horrible like Alzheimer’s so I think given the conditions of the world I think to make products that also helps to combat that and reverse it is very important and that’s one of the upcoming products that’s going to be specific specific about this problem so just to Yeah so sometimes I think you need to find okay problems and try to figure out which things can can we do to solve them for the majority of people and products from nature that can help to combat some
(39:38) of these very known diseases I think is important yeah i mean diabetes diabetes and and Alzheimer like you said which is diabetes type type three that that’s no joke that that seriously affects your your life quality and and so I would I would recommend to anyone to to follow start following your your your Instagram and your your social media which we will soon be putting out there on our Hamsa store and thanks why not giving your products a try i mean I’m I’m in queue for that as soon as you start shipping
(40:17) to other countries I will be able to to Yeah to purchase some of your stuff man i’m looking forward to that so thank you so much for joining us on on this decom talks it was very educational very very interesting and I loved it i I it’s it’s been one of my best decom talks as thus far so thank you so much Casper you’re welcome right guys so as a closing closing remarks well Casper before you go do you have any questions for us i don’t think I have any real questions i think that I’m excited how how the hamster market
(41:03) will evolve in the future and I hope it will be bigger than some of the known platforms we have today because I think we need something like this for for free free trades from party to party and not too much of all the regulations and the blah blah from the other ones yeah yep my my sentiment exactly too i mean we need less of monolithic monopolies and more decentralized stuff where everybody can transact directly with each other from any part of the world without without having somebody restrict you for for any sort of reasons so so yeah I’m
(41:44) also looking forward to that future can’t wait to see it come to fruition at least on on where we’re on the front we’re fighting which is the decentralized e-commerce front so thank you so much Casper and thank you for having me i think with this we can conclude our talk so stay tuned for the next in the next two weeks for our decom talks number five where we will be having other interesting guests and thanks everyone so much for joining us good night thanks everyone so this is me signing off and over and out over and
(42:26) out [Music]

Transcript:
(00:00) [Music] this is our third decom talk we’re trying to do this every couple of weeks to keep people up to date on what’s happening in the decentralized e-commerce space the projects the The Good the Bad the Ugly keeping it real right Jose yes sir we’re deep dealing with all topics decom awesome Chris Chris is me Yogi Bear and I think we’re still getting big water set up but we are got some exciting things so a little bit of the background about about big story is I was in Hong Kong I think you guys all are aware and ladies are
(00:43) aware consensus where I met one of the team members of big water and we were at a networking session and he says wow you you are perfect for deepin and they were looking for ways to accept crypto for their new campaign their launch which is just underway so it’s perfect timing and our team at Hamza has been working hard to get that all set up we have a staging server it’s not yet on the live site yet and we are getting that iterated for next week’s launch on on hen.
(01:21) Market so people can purchase this D centr dpin you think people know what deepin is Jose you want to share well deepin refers to decentralized was it product real world product infrastructure right yeah decentralized is a d de and then the physical infrastructure Network so essentially what that means is it’s creating these physical networks around the world that anybody can be a usually it’s called like a node and they can and they can host a node and normally most of the time almost all the time they’re
(01:59) rewarded with that project or that blockchain’s token native token for running the node and it’s it’s meant to be a you know Community Driven effort because people can permissionless Lech or set up a node normally they they need a standalone device but they could sometimes be also run on a computer there’s various forms of these dpin projects but big water has a physical product that you can buy that is a air filter and there’s two different choices of it and the way it works is you for the air in your area and you are
(02:40) compensated for doing that in rewards of their native token which will be coming out and still some technical difficulties on on the bigw side hopefully you can come up on stage and share from himself but this is the idea Jose what what are your thoughts on on this whole deepen Revolution well Mike it’s a very interesting use case for us I mean we we definitely belong in this in this deepen Revolution buing other other deepend projects to to join and and you know have access to to a market to the cryptocurrency market
(03:19) I’m I’m very excited I’m I’m I’m looking forward to all to how all this plays out and it’s playing out pretty well well there’s Dr parag from bigw himself if if you know here to add to what Mike was saying about the yeah air purifiers and all that yeah I hope he can join he’s here but he’s a listener so I I’m not sure I think they’re sorting out getting him on stage to speak is he maybe maybe some it’s also this Twitter space or something maybe he is here Dr brg are
(03:53) you with us can you I think there’s still some technical issues Mike it’s Twitter space thing yeah Twitter spes is it I mean it is a little bit of a risky do for us you know these these disconnect we had to reconnect but I still think it’s a good platform for Global group of people to be able to join and share real time but but yeah it’s it’s often a little bit tricky sometimes it does I’m actually on the desktop I’m on my well not desktop I’m my laptop but I think they usually
(04:27) recommend to do it from a phone but I’m not sure if he’s using a phone or a computer I’m actually doing it from my laptop myself I haven’t had any issues that way okay it used to only work on mobile and then it worked on a desktop but and’s also helped me with we’ve doing these for for for various initiatives over the years and anyway it’s still a little buggy but I hope it works but I I think while we while we still wait so yeah basically just some updates we really we do believe there’s a good
(05:04) natural fit of dpin projects with dcom you know dpin dcom of course the name is even similar but dcom is decentralized Commerce or decentralized e-commerce to allow people to transact permissionless Le through our various forms as well as of course native crypto payments I don’t know if you know Jose but I was doing some research where we’re looking at other deepend projects as well most of them don’t accept crypto to buy their Hardware device wow that’s that’s very contradictory Mike I mean cryptocurreny a
(05:41) cryptocurrency Marketplace like us and and the deepen project is a marriage made in heaven and I think can you hear me yes we can hear you fine now Dr barock fantastic thank you okay great so yeah welcome our spaces here it’s a decom talk and we’ve been chatting quite a bit we have a private group you know getting getting um everything lined up for your launch would you you know be willing to share a little bit about yourself and the and the project for us oh yes absolutely and you know first of all thank you very much for having us having
(06:18) me here having big water here and I’ve been I’ve been listening to all the conversations so far I just couldn’t get hold of the mic so some glitch but here I am and yeah just to start by saying the pin St stands for decentralized physical infrastructure and that pretty much is is the fulcrum of i i as we see it and as I personally see it of the web3 world going forward at least for the next three to five years I mean I think what has really happened is the uh the evolution of of web 3 and it’s and the
(06:53) maturing process the marination process the maturing process the curing process over the last two three five years and its search for real world use cases really led to mesari coining This this term deep in and this is this is pretty much going to be the fulum of the real world projects when I say real world I mean projects that that have a relevance in the real world they’re not just in the virtual world and that’s what is pretty is the is the Keystone of the big water project just to tell you a little
(07:25) more about the Big Water Project why is it called the Big Water Protocol he the end goal is to basically deliver clean water put more clean water in the hands of people and for that we we’ve created this entire model that you know we will we will create this huge ecosystem of sustainable actions that will be rewarded where users get rewarded on a daily basis but the end game remains like I said to give more clean water in the hands of people so and that is I’ll talk more about as we go into it and you
(08:00) know and as your specific questions come through but we’ve been working on this last now almost a year and you know trying to create the perfect model that is self- sustaining that is revenue acreative that is value acreative and above all that is participative unconditionally so everyone whether they belong to the web 2 world or the web 3 world should be able to participate in this so it does not require one to be extremely techsavvy and astute about about web three Technologies to be able to really become a a participant in this
(08:37) ecosystem that weed great thanks for that background and yeah it’s quite a lot of work to make Hardware is very very challenging and especially you know also connecting it with software and and blockchains how how how many years you said in development now so yeah so the big water initiative we’ve been working on for the year but but the big water initiative also comes or germinates from another initiative in the web two world that I have personally been the founder of and have been operating that company
(09:12) which is called Jan Jal uh Jana jel in in in India in Hindi which is the India’s national language Jana means people and Jal means water so we’ve been for the last I personally have been in part of the water sector for almost 15 years now Janel is a 12-year old company over the over these 12 years has delivered over 200 million lers of clean water two people in a sustainable and Equitable manner along the way we built our own patented Tech platform for water management and we collected over a billion data points while dispensing uh
(09:51) while making this water available to people so the we we created so we’ve actually been been a practitioner of deepin for almost 10 years now that deepen has become a mainstream term in the web 3 world so in the web two world we were practitioners we were doing this and I think that is what really the like I said the the timing of our thought process as as we were conducting oursel on the web two side we were observing the web3 side and the web3 side came up with this deepen terminology which we then went into understood and then
(10:26) started to create the alignment between how it would really work because what we didn’t want to do is move away from our core mission that we have assumed upon ourselves of delivering clean water to people but we actually wanted to go out and reach out to an entire new universe of of citizens of you know climate change conscious citizens or you know Green conscious citizens bring them on board and get them to participate in this entire clean water Mission and that is something that was a challenge what we did was you know of course like
(11:02) you said you know developing Hardware is the greater challenge Beyond first so it’s easy to say okay this is what I want to do then how I want to do is is the next big Challenge and we all know that web three initiatives can can you know end up spending two years trying to develop a deepen hardware and so that is where again what we coming from the web to side the as we saw it it was very important for us to create an instrument of participation which would be the deepen device here which is very very consumer friendly which is very very
(11:35) citizen friendly so if we have to make clean water available to let’s say 4.4 billion people today who lack it then we need to create a methodology that appeals to at least a billion people so we don’t want to be confined to only the web three side we need to bring in more web2 participation from the web2 side and shatter their inhibitions that they or their prejudices that they bear against web3 thinking it’s too complex think you know everybody has their own ideas and their own coming from their own figment of IM
(12:09) imagination so so we simplified it by creating an air purifier which is our deepend device so people benefit from this device in their daily lives every minute of their life as they operate it and while they operate it inadvertently without really wanting to they’re participating in a web free initiative that is also now giving them rewards and making clean water available for which they’re getting an nft while they continue to get what they bargained for which was clean air so we simplified the complexity to basically create a greater
(12:45) Outreach Dr par one of the one of the things I find fascinating about this deep in world I’m I’m only beginning to learn about by the way is the way that you know chain projects have have token tokens have supposed are supposed to have this incentive structure the so-called to tokenomics right could you care would you care to talk a little bit more about what the incentive structure in in your deep in Project is I mean how are people just how are people rewarded foring to data I imagine to the to the
(13:19) network okay great question and you know I’ll answer it in in in as much detail as I can so as far as the rewards are concerned I think for us before we got to the reward words what we did was we needed to lower the entry barrier like I said a we first needed to shatter the their inhibitions and overcome theire help them overcome their prejudices to be able to step in and participate we had to slide down the entry barrier uh typically if you look around deepen devices are our price north of $450 $500 they go up to even
(13:53) $3,000 and most of these devices are benign pieces of Hardware that are just planted somewhere in in in your or doing presumably doing something and giving you Rewards or giving you tokens or do or they work what we needed to do is lower that price point to also make it more affordable and easier for people to participate so so that’s that’s the first Challenge and then the second thing that we did was even after lowering it we needed to create this Rewards program which was really exciting so in our particular case what
(14:25) we’ve done is we we priced our our deepen device the one that we are launching initially with is at 10 even that is not an expenditure for the participant it is actually an investment so they will ideally receive or earn this investment back in any in around six months is how we’ve coined and created this entire Rewards program so if you just simplify it further in my in your head it’s $180 that should come back to you in 180 days that’s our vision that’s how we are working on this entire model so how the
(15:00) earning should really fan out eventually I’m not saying it’ll happen that way from day one but eventually it’ll get it’ll come down to a weighted average and that’s how we working working the entire toonomic side well yes the the device is certainly accessible and we’re just launching it on staging right now and we should have it launched on on our site in production in about a week I imagine but besides besides so so to speak mining data for for the deepen project you’re also getting Pure Clean
(15:31) Air right that’s right that’s exactly right so this is what the the device really does is it adds tremendous value to to the to your own environment to your own ecosystem and also to the environment of around you I mean air belongs to nobody so if you’re cleaning your Air does not mean that air remains yours it eventually belongs to the community it belongs to the the town city the planet so as we envision I mean you know coming from India we unfortunately India enjoy a very high purge position in terms of polluted you
(16:08) know the cities that are plagued with pollution air pollution that is I think just yesterday there was an article in an Indian press where out of the 30 top polluted cities in the world 20 of them are in India uh and that is a fact because we encounter that on a regular basis what is very important for us is that the way we thought about about it is think of a city like Delhi which actually happens to be the which qualifies to be the pollution capital of the world think of a city like Delhi that has a million deepend devices of
(16:39) big water sitting and cleaning air in a million homes NCR the national capital region alone has 70 million people officially counted I’d argue it could be closer to 90 million if not 100 now there are at least 10 million if not 15 million homes if not 20 million homes in Delhi alone we’re saying if a million devices can go out start cleaning 2 million lers of air per day per device our calculators will shatter in terms of number of zeros and number of how many liters of clean air that is now imagine
(17:18) all of that will that really contribute to some level of better air and the and the obvious answer is yes and that’s exactly what we working towards where people conduct themselves in their own interest and in the interest of their Community wow IM imagine that not only are they cleaning the air around them but uh they’re also receiving rewards for for contributing to the to the to the network right yes can you hear me oh yeah much better yeah okay great yeah yeah that’s right I mean so they’re contributing to to you know
(17:54) getting clean air they’re delivering clean water to communities so while when I said is installed and operating imagine a million devices will enable a billion liters of water for underserved communities and that W be given just in India that water could be given in Cambodia that water could be given in Indonesia in African in any African countries it could be given in Middle East because through the through the our our anchor partner which is Janel we have access to this entire world of small water Enterprises that are running
(18:29) these water treatment plants that are grossly underutilized in terms of capacity and we have the ability to go work with them get them to become the points of delivery bring all that dispensing data on chain so every nft that we are issuing is Al is actually going to be backed up with granular level data of which consumers on what date at what time in which GPS location part of the world received how much water of what quality that is where that is where that nft so what we are working towards is graduating that nft into a full blown
(19:08) water credit so just like today the world has carbon credits to offset their carbon footprint we are now shaping a water credit that will allow corporations to offset their water footprint which is as valuable if not more under the C ESG reporting and ESG accountability indeed I mean how many of us know every pair of jeans we wear cost 10,000 L of water every t-shirt or shirt we wear costs 4,000 lers of water every cup of coffee we drink cost 150 lers of water wow yeah so that is where we we going with this and this is why this is
(19:47) the Big Water Protocol it is I mean it’s it’s like I said it’s fascinating how how the how the how the tokenomics aligns with the incentive structure in a society and and you know towards a better environment but Dr parag something that is not very clear to me at least is is how how does a water purifier H how how does it owning a water purifier and contributing to the network how does that help assure the the 1,000 liters of water to the to the needed communities how does how does that work yeah so you mean how does
(20:26) operating an air purifier not a water purif yes an an air purifier exactly uhhuh correct so you’re operating the air purifier in your house but that air purifier has enabled 1,000 lers of water to be delivered it’s at it’s at an arms length I mean there is no connection between this device and water but the connection is that this device has enabled of 1000 L of water and when I say enabled means it’s actually funded it’s it’s paid for 1,000 L of water that is contributed Now by you and that is
(21:02) delivered to underserved communities that cannot afford expensive packaged water you see I I’m going to say a not very good thing but in a good way bad water has remained a poor man’s problem but bad air remains a rich man’s problem those who can afford it have mitigated their bad water situation by being able to afford expensive packaged water and it just comes very naturally to us people are drinking the avons of the world people are drinking the perers of the world and for them it’s it’s a way of
(21:36) life it’s it’s it’s what life is but they cannot even imagine what life is for those communities which actually happens to center of the world that does not have access to Safe Drinking Water or to or to portable water and are plagued with waterborne diseases are suffering illnesses and there so on so forth that’s a that’s a whole different gamut of problems on the other side so this is what this is what as our anchor partner brings in and the capability of delivering a thousand liters of water
(22:13) can you imagine I mean we almost you know so for the last 15 years I’ve been an advocate of Clean Water myself I’ve been a social entrepreneur I’ve spoken on global global forums and you know platforms and I’ve always challenged any other in the world to deliver water as sustainably reliably equitably and frugally as we can nobody else can deliver th000 lers of Water by and deliver a device deliver clean air deliver rewards all of this bundled into $180 yeah I noticed when I I’m reading the description so it’s you buy this
(22:54) device you get clear you get the air of course benefit for yourself but you also give a th000 liters of water do you do you mind sharing how that how does that work so what what when you install the device and you connect it with to our mobile app that you would download you will actually start recording metrics these metrics are weather metrics so it’s basically temperature humidity aqi PM 2.
(23:22) 5 you know before after Data before the the the ambient parameters and then your indoor parameters now all this data is what you would share with us and that is theism of participation and in in this data we will be putting together analyzing putting into data sets and then we will actually be monetizing that data at some point in time going forward what we are doing is we are sharing part of that monetization with you as rewards and from the rest what we are doing is meeting this obligation that we are taking up upon ourselves of delivering 1,000 lers of water two
(23:59) communities that’s great I hope I’ve answered your question it’s clear yeah okay so the data somehow the the air data somehow contributes to to understanding the water data as well is is that am I so what we doing at The Brick Water Protocol is on one side while we are gathering air data and weather data we also collecting water data because the dispensing is happening on chain right so we actually recording raw water data and treated water data and consumption data on the other side now having this
(24:37) holistically provides a data subcriber to this data complete information on air and water situation in different parts of in different territories as we expand our footprint and that is something that becomes extremely valuable so let me let’s say you’re you’re you’re a big investor and you know you’re trying to look at a a steel manufacturing project which is being set up in Indonesia now one of the things you really want to know is what is the air and water situation in that particular
(25:08) territory where this plant is being set up is there even going to be water available for the next 30 Years I mean when you look at a steel manufacturing plant you’re looking at probably break even at 12 or 14 years from the day of starting maybe and that that’s a dancing gold poost so that’s going to move move forward to maybe 16 or 18 years as you go forward now are those projections even bankable because if without water or suitable quality of water you’re not going to be able to meet your
(25:37) projections let’s take another situation here let’s say you are a real estate buyer you need to know what is the air quality and the water quality of at that particular project that you’re seeking to invest in or that is soliciting itself for your investment if there is I mean I come from a city back in India where a complete new a complete new part of the suburb was sold out and for the last and this was sold out 15 years ago by developers even today 15 years later there is no piped water Connection in 100% of the
(26:12) buildings people are rers for their daily water supply because nobody ever thought that there wouldn’t be a water pipe water connection there if a project is being sold so I’m just saying that there is a real estate angle to this where the value of real estate is now also being assessed by assessing what is the air and water quality situation in that area and as we all know this in in in one city the air and water quality is not constant around the city and across the city I mean I speak for emerging
(26:44) markets I speak for developing and underdeveloped countries I don’t necessarily speak only for developed for the developed countries because there you may have certain exceptions okay how will we be able to see reports of this progress over time I mean I think it’s exciting for the community to to you know see this happening and as it’s I mean sounds like amazing difference we can all make with with this project I missed the question how you know how can we keep up to dat of the effects as this starts to roll
(27:16) out I know we haven’t really fully launched yet but once we launch and things are moving like there ways people can see updates and and and as a community and and see the devel absolutely I think we’re very excited about you know com you know putting us that for us is a big win I have to sh say that here we we are also launching our own e-commerce site so the bigwater doio website is where a lot of information will keep getting updated on on a daily basis and that’s where people can even come in and and you know
(27:45) procure devices but on the other side there is a wait list we’re inviting people to participate and we will extend invitations for to them to become brand ambassadors and also give the issue an affiliate code to them so they can actually become ambassadors for this and they can encar more people around around them and in their communities to to adopt this and participate in this initiative besides that there will be mailers created you know all the email addresses all those who sign up we have a telegram group we have a Discord group
(28:17) groups we’ll have you know communities being created there and managed of course on X please go out and follow us on our X handle as well um you know there’s going to be a huge amount of digital marketing that’s going to be started across Instagram Tik Tok and so many Reddit or so many other platforms so you know the teams are working 24/7 right now to basically you know put all Wheels in Motion but as far as we are concerned I mean you know it’s it’s only a matter of hours now before we start
(28:47) activating all these channels sequentially to begin with and then start operating them concurrently okay do Dr parag is there is there a way for someone purchasing your air purifier yes can you hear me hello hello can you hear me hello oh darn hello hello I hear Jose and I hear Dr progue oh oh seems we’re having problem hear us I hear him saying hello do you hear me yeah now I can yeah yeah I hear you Mike you can hear Jose you can hear Dr perogue right yes yes I can hear Dr okay sometimes in Twitter spaces actually it
(29:33) does that where certain people can’t Hur other people so I’m glad anyway okay so how does someone purchasing your air purifier uh is there any way for that person to monitor the impact of his investment in terms of water and water being delivered to un un underserved communities and and you know and the air itself yes as as far as the air metrics are concerned they’re own app will show them you know how that is going but as far as the water side is concerned we will we are working on creating that
(30:07) that accessibility to that particular dashboard where they can see which are the communities they’ve impacted in which region how you know and when did that thousand lers get delivered like I said the the traceability of that 1,000 L is going to be down to the drop so it’s and that is something that we committed to and we understand how to do it it is because something that that is something we’re already doing for the last almost 10 years we’ve collected we’ve gathered a billion data point said
(30:38) earlier just from dispensing water Janel Remains the only Innovative technology selected by the government of India for large scale implementation across urban and rural areas so what Janel has basically championed is last mild delivery of Safe Water it is actually called The Uber of Water by so many people wow and because people can it’s what safe water on on demand it’s people who can use their mobile app order water it gets delivered to their doorstep in a three wheer Tuk Tok and then they collect water for as little as one one
(31:13) US Cent per liter and that is where we are the frugality comes in the ability to eliminate unnecessary costs associated with clean water is that ability is unique the ability is a worthwhile project and I was thinking as I was listening to one of your examples in the real estate example how that could contribute to actually have place an objective value on a certain piece of of real estate you know like having access to all the all the variables all the all the water and air quality variables that that that should you know
(31:50) that should sort of keep the economy the the real estate economy sincere right no absolutely absolutely and that is precis I mean you know it’s it’s another not so good example but you know the recent fires that took place in La and I don’t know how many of us read over there that uh just a few months before these fires actually took place all the insurance companies withdrew the Fire cover from the insurance policies had data that led them to believe that was a major Hazard going forward in the year ahead so they
(32:23) actually sneaked out the fire coverage from every insurance policy wow I I didn’t know that and and you know that’s that’s another thing that your project I I find so fascinating about is that it puts all this data into the hands of people like us normal people like us that is exactly the point that empowering individuals to oh somebody else’s judgment assessment and perhaps credibility which would which I dare say could be entirely misplaced yep so now people can take individuals can take their own decisions
(33:00) powered by this data so the sub the the value of this data does not merely you know focus upon or is not dependent only on corporations or organizations or companies even individuals can subscribe to this data and basically make their own decisions depending on what they’re trying to do yeah Dr parag I I don’t know if you’re getting cut off or or there’s a little bit of a delay no you know there’s a little but I hear so I think let’s yeah this has been a fascinating discussion I think let’s
(33:32) move to the finals I can hear you do you hear us Jose do you hear me yeah I can hear both of you fine but sometimes you’re getting cut off maybe it’s my connection or something I don’t know any I think this has been a fascinating hello discussion maybe it doesn’t hear us hello yeah I think that’s what’s happening I think he’s not hearing us well I think last section which is like you know the dates we we’ we’ve picked March 20th as our launch yeah I don’t think he’s hearing
(34:05) can say something Jose maybe he doesn’t hear us yeah um I don’t think you’re hearing us Dr parag but we’re hearing you no we’re we’re not hearing you sorry oh yes we are now yeah I think if we don’t get it we can we could we could kind of speak for him on this last section anyway I think we got the the good really good insights yes here I am sorry no problem yeah this is always somewhat like this with Twitter but we still like this platform even though it does this but okay you’re back I think
(34:35) let’s get to the the last section the dates you know I think been talking about the pricing we we are gonna go live on our Hamza decom Marketplace next week the 20th Jose you’re on mute Jose you’re muted yes I’m on mute just to let you guys speak sorry okay so March 20th we’re going to go live on Hamza so people that want to use crypto to to pay can do so and and do you want to share a little bit about the the timelines and such Dr brog he’s back as a listener he’s back as a listener yes we at
(35:09) Twitter well I think I think we got a lot of insights from him already or are you back yes oh you’re here you’re here okay you want to share a little bit about our the launch we’re doing and and the dates and and things like that people can get some timelines yes absolutely I think you know you indicated that we’re on the stage stay you know currently at Hamza and we should go live in about a week there we’re expecting to go live before this weekend on our website and you know these two for now would be the the best
(35:40) places to find you know and and for people to to procure their deepen device I mean even those who have one at home can probably get a second or a third because the good news is every room in our life needs one it’s not just one I would strongly encourage people to do this not just from the from the initiative’s point of view but also their own personal welfare I think you know getting a an air purifier is a better investment than eventually you know going down the route of taking medicines in India I I can tell you a
(36:13) lot of doctors are now prescribing air purifiers to their patients simply because they’ve started to say that all the medication in the world will not cure you if you don’t give yourself better air to breathe so I think does a huge service to people our price points have been worked out have been calibrated in and are commensurate with Market standards it’s not that this being a deepend device is is exorbitantly expensive it’s just a question of people noticing it and then you know reaching out to get get one for
(36:50) themselves great thank you so much I think this is a good way to wrap it up and we’ll we’ll definitely keep more updates and then inv for next week we’ll have this live we’ll be sharing on all of our channels and I look forward to doing a lot more together with big water thanks for sharing thank you thank you once again uh thank all of you for having me here and I look forward to many more of these post you know once the launch is is complete especially on Hamza perfect thank you so much everybody yes thanks
(37:21) thanks so much Dr brag and everybody for listening oh [Music]

If you’ve ever felt trapped by high fees, arbitrary rules, or the constant risk of deplatforming, Hamza offers a way out. Selling online shouldn’t mean surrendering your profits and control to a middleman. Hamza is designed for those who want a fair, transparent, and censorship-resistant marketplace where sellers are in charge.

The Problem with Traditional E-Commerce

Right now, centralized platforms dictate how you do business:

❌ Excessive Fees – Hidden charges and commissions eat into your revenue.
❌ Opaque Rules – Sudden policy changes can destroy your business overnight.
❌ Data Exploitation – Your store’s reputation and sales history belong to them, not you.
❌ Fund Custody Issues – Payout delays, frozen funds, or outright confiscation.

Hamza changes the game by offering an alternative built for sellers, not platforms.

Why Hamza is Different

✅ Keep More of Your Profits – Just a simple 5% fee. No hidden deductions.
✅ You Set the Rules – No arbitrary policies or marketing restrictions.
✅ Your Data, Your Store – Your sales history and reputation are yours forever.
✅ Escrow Smart Contracts – No middleman holds your money—payments are secured on-chain.
✅ Decentralized Future – The platform is moving toward community governance, where sellers and buyers decide its direction.

Hamza allows sellers to price competitively without inflated costs. More importantly, it treats all participants as part of a broader, interconnected ecosystem rather than just another revenue source.

Secure Transactions with Escrow Smart Contracts

To ensure financial security and trust, Hamza now utilizes escrow smart contracts for payments:

Funds Are Secure – Payments are locked in an individual smart contract until the transaction is completed.
No More Middlemen – Unlike centralized platforms, no one can freeze or confiscate your earnings.
True Seller Protection – This upgrade replaces the old multi-signature system with a fully automated, trustless solution.

This is a critical step toward a true decentralized commerce (Decom) experience—one where sellers and buyers are in full control of their transactions.

How to Become a Seller on Hamza

Ready to break free? Here’s how to get started:

  • Have Products to Sell – Physical or digital goods are welcome.
  • Set Up a Web3 Wallet – A self-custody wallet is required to log in, create escrow contracts, and receive payments.
  • Apply to Sell – Since we are in beta, you’ll need to submit an application [here].

Right now, applications are manually reviewed, but this process will evolve as Hamza shifts toward full decentralization. Be sure to indicate what you plan to sell and provide contact details (email, Telegram, or Discord) for follow-up.

The Time to Switch is Now

Every day, centralized platforms become more restrictive, costly, and exploitative. Sellers are being squeezed out, and the risk of losing access to your own business is real. Hamza is here to put control back in your hands.

If you’re tired of playing by someone else’s rules, make the move today. Apply now and start selling—on your terms.

(02:21) I lose track yeah it’s a fifth one five right hi everybody hey hey Alex nice to see you hear you cool to be in a different setting yeah yeah yeah of course we really appreciate you know the heni community is of course I think it’s real it’s relevant too I mean decentralized ecomerce centralized domains so we I’m happy I’m always trying to find the best relationship between hza handshake or you know H&S as best we can always amazing I think I think I think ham is bigger than that though personally and
(03:04) as a user I think that I I was pretty amazed when I ordered a power bank with eth and it just arrived at my house pretty insane it is great experience by the way okay thanks thanks so much thanks so much really always appreciate the support yeah I mean there’s a lot you know we we’re so quiet we got to be I mean I guess simil like the handshake community all like building and it’s it’s quiet quiet quieter than it should be on the front but it’s never- ending building too I mean there’s so many
(03:39) feature requests and small you know things to fix it’s never ending so you know we’re trying our best to keep you know keep improving because it’s still I think web 3 and crypto whether it’s handshake H you know or any crypto related they use their experience it’s still so hard you know it’s so hard to make it easy use in cryp you know like my friend was telling me you know in web web 2 it’s so easy to like integrate the payments and the shopping carts and these you know we have to really do that
(04:15) in in in crypto as best we can you know whether whether it’s any any of these projects it’s still hard to use generally all most of I mean of course name base is very straightforward too but even even a name base is hard with the on boarding right I mean the the crypto onboarding you know people get scared setting in Bitcoin and you know things like that I mean it’s it’s it goes beyond that like I I have a I have a trainer that works with me every week and I’m always trying to get him to be
(04:51) involved in in in crypto and I always say I’m going to pay his lessons in in Bitcoin and I adjusted like for him to try out coinbase as a start and even with coinbase for him it was hard so there’s still a a big problem in the crypto space in general which is onboarding non- crypto users into crypto and you might think oh coinbase is super simple and and it is for us but you know for people outside of crypto it’s still new territory and scary so it’s a big challenge throughout the industry in
(05:33) general I guess I agree I mean it’s really frustrating you know actually we’re fundraising now and I was in Hong Kong I think some of you heard and saw and so many people think crypto Is MeMe coins you know it’s really almost embarrassing as an industry you know like you talk to an investor and they’re like comparing you to a meme coin or even cons think you’re a meme coin you know it’s like no no we’re actually building a real product and use case and utility you know where but I mean the sad fact and I think it’s
(06:13) even one reason the Market’s kind of down is there’s so much of this crap mcoin stuff in the market and unfortunately there was it seems like it was a pretty organized almost crime in my opinion but organized group that would pump and dump mem coin that you know I hope Justice is served but probably not you know but basically you know and it just gives a bad name to the whole Space we we all just get lumped in as a meme coin you know like I’d say handshake 2 and Hamza or anybody this this is almost maybe what want
(06:51) because because then they can say crypto is like a scam or not useful Etc you know indeed good evening guys or good morning indeed even presidents are involved in that I mean you’re in Latin America I mean I don’t get to off topic but this whole gentina coin Libra like you must be hearing about it even more than we is is I don’t know I don’t want to get off topic too much but I mean in in in the Spanish Market in the Latin American Market I mean are what do they generally say about that well you don’t hear about
(07:28) it much either but here but yeah there’s a big Fallout with that and I I understand that mle is being you know prosecuted for that for for I mean there’s a scandal in Argentina right now with that although to be fair Trump did pretty much the same thing and nobody said anything you know well I don’t know I would just like to clarify about that you know I’m also not happy about the Trump coin but one difference was whoever launched the Trump coin you know Trump says he’s got a huge team and he
(08:03) doesn’t know everything happening the big difference is I mean I think Libra would have been okay as same as Trump but whoever launched it and it seems like this organization sold it all of it as soon as it was bought so it went up to like billions I don’t even know the numbers and then like within the same hours crashed down because the Insiders and you know creators or whoever sold as soon people were retail or you know you know you know the families or the the retail bought they were selling hard and
(08:39) crashed it if they didn’t sell immediately everything into it it would have been because Trump coin it that they don’t dump it you know it actually did quote unquote pump and it didn’t it it did it for quite a while and it’s still even maintaining now the price I mean it’s down of course but it’s not like it went from like a bill billion to like 100k you know 90% drop in like three hours I think I think that was the major issue of the Libra I mean I’m talking about hours billions to like crash like an hours
(09:16) because the Insiders were selling it like immediately heavily yeah true Li Libra was more spectacular in its failure yeah but in the end that’s that’s that’s I mean Trump is I’m not buying Trump coin but you know Trump I’ll look it up right now it’s still like you know it’s what is it it’s still a $13 and top 46 coin Libra went to like a top coin to almost zero within like three or four hours so it’s different you know still Mike trying to get the conversation back on topic you
(09:52) know let’s do that I mean it’s true meme coins do not help in you know in giving the industry a good rep reputation but anybody who lives in a in a country that’s marginalized from the central from the USD banking system can tell you that that you know crypto does have its use cases but they’re hard to see if you live in a first world country or in any country where you take for granted that you have access to such USD banking systems you know and the way the world is going with dollarization and stuff I
(10:27) think that more sooner than later crypto will prove its its use case you know yeah and that’s that’s where we stand right now that’s you know that’s that’s one of it’s a challenge and it’s also an opportunity giving giving people access to to markets that they would otherwise have you know yeah and all that I agree yes so let’s go to our agenda so Jose’s here you know a little bit of delay getting things started with everybody so maybe we’ll formally kick off now it’s our second
(11:04) decom talk for the Hamza decentralized e-commerce Marketplace and we’re looking hosties every couple of weeks or you know seeing the frequency we’re still determining the frequency of these uh your feedback is appreciated but we want to engage more with the public at large show what we’ve been doing more on the the commercial side just another plug we have an Hamza Discord and also we have a town hall call led by Bo on the team which is more about governance tokenomics white paper which happens on
(11:46) Mondays I know time zones is tricky with our Global World we’re in but it’s evening Asia morning us and afternoon Europe I believe 8:00 p.m. GMT plus 7 1: p.m. M GMT so that’s also happening and and so basically what we’re trying to get into a flow is every two weeks we have a town hall on Monday which is tokenomics web 3 govern which is actually pretty fascinating both are pro at this Jose I know likes those right Jose oh yeah I recommend them to anyone they’re they’re it’s fascinating I mean it’s fascinating
(12:22) watching a uh a token be designed and all the incentive structures I find that fascinating yeah so we’re doing this that’s also being publicly discussed and we welcome you if you’re here and that as well that’s a little bit more it’s not totally private but you have to join our Hamza Discord it’s inside a Discord voice Channel and so that’s on every other Monday as far as our current agenda and this is on Thursday every other Thursday as a dcom talk on Twitter spaces or x x spaces and this
(13:00) is more about the kind of business side of the buyers and sellers and and the updates of that and that we try to bring some of our vendors or hear from the buyers or hear from the community at large and this is recorded as well as the town halls and our posted on blog. ham.
(13:20) Market where you can get the full information on that so what’s what what do we have I know Jose you worked on an agenda what do we got our our list today and maybe introduce yourself a I I was thinking of touching upon the topic of logistics and what a challeng is for us at hamsa Ju Just the stage a little bit for example I see Irwin is here he has a store with us and yeah I don’t know if he’s invited and that’s part of the agenda I think it is but great for example Irwin talks about Irwin had Irwin store sells these hns label pins
(13:54) right and he sells them from Australia and one of the challenges we’re facing for example if I if I were to be interested in in purchasing one of Irwin’s SL he ships them from Australia but there’s no there’s really no no direct Cheap shipping route between Australia and Venezuela either by air or C or any otherwise you know so everything is pretty much centralized in in the US I know for example if if if if you’re any if if you’re anywhere in Latin America and you use these e-commerce platforms such as Amazon
(14:30) on that sort of stuff buying from abroad what you usually is you use a freight forwarder but and and the freight forward is usually based in the US so you have like a like a sort of a mailbox in the US you know you can solidate all your stuff and then the freight forwarder ships it door to your address in some Latin American country that’s that’s the way that the system is set up currently and I was just thinking this afternoon hey I mean the you know with Trump and all the Tariff Wars and stuff it’s it’s you know
(15:06) it’s making it more of a challenge to actually keep doing that you know because if if if if tffs are imposed between the US and and China for example if you’re buying something from China you still need it to go through the us because of what I’ve explained I mean it’s it’s it’s much much cheaper than directly to from China to Venezuela for example so that’s that’s a bit of a challenge for for a nent market place like us where you have Sellers from all over the world and buyers from all over
(15:41) the world how do how to get merchandise physical Goods cheaply from country a to Country B that’s that’s that’s quite a challenge okay yeah I mean we can definitely discuss this for sure and I I just feel like this is my life’s work yeah I I mean I’ve been doing this for most of my Adult Career 20 plus years of e-commerce and online marketing and Logistics so it’s not easy it’s definitely not easy I don’t think anybody’s got it solved and like you said the Trump thing totally changed the
(16:21) game you know we have a lot of my handshake fam friends here on this live call which I really appreciate and you know we’re we learning about this decentralized world a lot in handshake the real dream of Hamza is and we talk about this and we’re St to say accelerate that is we want to make local market marketplaces right I mean Hamza is not meant to be the only Marketplace in the world of web 3 so we’re actually somewhat kind of pivoting in a way or accelerating our longer term vision of multiple marketplaces Jose I think you
(16:56) know that with the dcom token yeah so the decom token is what we’re focused on because of our fundraising and because of the legalities of of how it would be structured but I think the solution or the you know because actually I haven’t even brought it up but you know Hern is in Australia but you know he’s distributed pined I I’m kind of a distribution node I’ve just received him from Hong Kong ir and I finally picked them up last week at my office in Hong Kong so I have the the latest batch of them
(17:33) but I think also migs at teaser stupid.com which I think you’ve talked to Jose yeah I think he also I might be mistaken but he’s a US based I don’t know what to call it Merchant and he could also we didn’t develop this in hamsa yet but we could have it where one product could ship from multiple locations and this I don’t want to kill our amazing developers I mean we don’t give them the spotlight they need you know John and we have quite a few developers but to develop that would be a lot of work but
(18:09) technically maybe just manually do it Jose where I have some if somebody’s got some in Asia I could ship them you know if it’s us-based it could ship from say migs in the US maybe even if you want I mean I think the I think the way we quote unquote beat Amazon or web 2 is by being decentralized so of course everyone have to tr you know it’s a little bit more trust but you know you could have stock in various PA and I don’t want to blow your mind Jose but as you know we don’t use the name load pipe anymore know there’s
(18:43) decom but if you look at load pipe.com I it’s still going to exist but it might be further down the road of being a decentralized Supply Chain management solution so actually it was a little bit of a a joke actually some of the team doesn’t like the name load Piper feels like it’s not relevant for what these projects are which you know I I can I can accept and I did accept it is more of like a supply chain tool so you know our our buddy Bo like we sold we sold something I don’t know if you know this
(19:16) but he says he’s the first load pipe delivery so somebody bought a somebody bought a Travelers pack Tech pack okay and he delivered it by hand I was with him physically and it was another Ching my person but was but he was flying out the next day so we couldn’t ship it so he actually took it and delivered it and he says I’m the first load pipe delivery and I guess I’ll keep that I think but of course we didn’t program any of this but the world I see in the future I still believe I don’t know I don’t want to be sick but I
(19:55) still see a Mad Max world I I don’t want to say I’m negative of the way the world is but you know I believe we need these decentralized things because things can be taken down and taken over so I can see a world where I have a node of delivery there’s one in other locations this the merchants could send some inventory to those nodes like if they want to have some in Hong Kong or some in us or some in Venezuela that wouldn’t be Hamza or decom that would I guess maybe be I don’t want go crazy with
(20:28) names but it would probably be this load pipe system but but the point is it would be an independent person not official company it would not be like Amazon warehouse it would be a person’s warehouse and of course there’s got to be trust there would be of course another layer of kind of feedback and and of because of course you’re sending your products to somebody you’d have to have some trust in them but it would be a decentralized distribution Network so I don’t know if I’m me obviously it’s
(20:59) not working right now but maybe we could test it with some of our early sellers I don’t know how we would program that in the front end but you know another solution just to be clear say is a lot of people ship from China or us it doesn’t have us some ship from China I mean what most a lot of people do is global Shipping and then they just say it’s going to take time to get to Venezuela but you could of course ship to your Freight forward which you have used as well and then they receive it and then they ship it
(21:33) out well you know I actually put this question up to the AI this afternoon and what AI suggested which which makes perfect sense is you know you could use alternative notes like in Panama and Singapore and and you know other other notes with with more shall we say convenient uh Duty policy exports you know Customs policies and stuff but yeah I can I can see what you’re saying I mean we’re evolving slowly into some sort of a crowdsourced decentralized I don’t know and Colony you could call it that it’s it’s it’s what I what I see us
(22:11) becoming and maybe who knows maybe there’s another role in the in the hamsa Marketplace such as you know a warehouse or or a or a node I I don’t know what you would call that but yeah I could I could see that evolving time it could because you know that the the world is is is the future is decentralization man it’s I mean it’s just bound to happen have you ever read the this book called The sovereign individual I’ve read so many of these books and I can’t remember which one I have’t haven’t but I know
(22:45) that’s a very popular title and I think I have I’ve read a lot of I’ve read a lot of yeah there’s a lot of that book is mentioned quite a lot especially in in Bitcoin or circles because it predicts you know it goes through a through an analysis of all this technology starting from internet which was available back in the day when the book was written but the book predicted internet money and how the how the Central Powers and and big corporations and big nation states would try to fight back but in the end the book’s thesis is
(23:22) that they will not be able to to control that because the the the world is slowly shifting to towards a sovereign individual model you know and that necessarily goes through decentralization so in that that that’s where we stand in this wave and that that’s that’s why I’m I’m I feel very privileged to be a witness to all this you know yeah okay maybe we can open up owan do you have an opinion or feedback or thought about maybe anything we discussed or you know your H&S lapel pins I mean I love them I use them every
(23:58) every day I wear mine for years I don’t know if you’ve noticed some my pictures everybody or videos has always clicked on my shirt but you have anything to share yeah thanks for allowing me to list my product on it’s it’s good it’s I’m still learning everything about learning to log in back end you know using using what am I using the the Firefox wallet to enable me to log in and all that so it’s all fairly new to me so yeah it’s good to good to get involved I have seen seen you always
(24:29) wearing my pins Mike which is which is great it’s it’s great to see others out there promoting a handshake for for what it is even even back end we all know we talk the talk online but it’s I think it’s offline that is just as powerful reaching people when we’re out conferencing and chatting to people at a bar or club I’m using myself as a classic example I use it I have it on a lot of the time on the weekends and people are always asking what what what what does that h mean yeah and I and I and I just say
(25:00) well if you could imagine yourself owning we all we’ all heard of.com if if you if you are interested in owning anything behind that dot like if you want to own that Co the dotom I suggest you log on to handshake and find out a little bit more about it but you know you can’t talk too techy but long story short it’s it’s a good little promotional item and yeah I’m glad that th has come on board it’s yeah unique different fresh new yeah so wish you guys the best with that and yeah as we
(25:30) as we all get invol evolved with with the buying and selling I’m I’m happy to look into getting getting some some product made obviously let’s let’s be honest the the Chinas of the world are the are the best users of of raw material into a finished product and you know PS probably probably be amongst that as well so I’m happy to have you know have that sort of thing made and maybe have a central distribution happening from from there to different corners of the globe because um yeah as at the moment I’m I’m sending I’m
(26:01) sending the pins but so much you know it’ll cost me 6060 Australian just to send a parcel out with five pens and a couple of other bits and pieces and I’m absorbing pretty much all the costs but we want to get we want product out there to many other people not just including the pins but other things as well yeah this is a challenge but I could also help you know like I said I have I have a batch with me and I don’t know if Ms has any left or not but maybe or we could get some to him but that’s another
(26:33) option Jose I know but yeah I mean it’s been super hard I mean we’re such a glob actually I don’t know if it’s web 3 or just our community but we are definitely distributed around the world you know the people I work with and you know from the handshake and web 3 and other we are all over the world you know like Jose’s in Venezuela irin’s in Australia I’m in Thailand an’s in Philippines I see some people here might be want to be more Anonymous but they’re in Europe quite a
(27:01) few in Europe you know honestly I don’t even know that many in the based in the US that are we work with almost there’s some I’m not saying not many but it’s not like we’re a very heavy group of people that I’m working with in in these decentralized communities of just handshake hums that we’re building out and others so it’s it’s fascinating it’s great and it’s also it’s also of course challenging but that gives opportunity and I guess the next point is you know
(27:26) I’ve been talking to you know people I was at you know consensus in Hong Kong I can’t take like quote unquote Amazon directly in the US market and compete directly I I think the way is to go to these more Niche or or or needed markets like I love I don’t know Jose I don’t know if I’ve told you directly but I’d love to do more in in Venezuela I mean maybe we’re even trying to make it where we could have a clone of Hamza so what we’re actually trying to do with Hamza is we haven’t
(27:55) even started to discuss it because we didn’t finished building Hamza but we want to make Hamza where you can make your own Hamza right and that’s what the dcom token would would be utility for so you want to clone make a clone of Hamza and and re reskin it a bit and maybe even just making a different language and different colors of course there’s more to it than that but we help you do that and also use the smart contract escro system the the judging pool so what we’re really trying to do is is to
(28:28) allow people in different marketplaces of the world places in the world to make their own marketpl to be like more infrastructure than application I don’t know if people understand that but this is like been accelerated because of the legal issues we’re try we’re facing raising funny money at the Hamza application Level listen so from what I understood the future goals or visions for Hamza is to make it sort of a white label product for other people to build marketplaces on and use the decom token you know to
(29:07) buy and sell products wouldn’t this make you more sort of a Shopify like decentralized Shopify competitor maybe besides the the website building yeah well to be clear haza is still going to be a entity it’s it’s actually you know it is already an existing structure but and that is a is going to be you know is still a standalone project but yeah we’re basically I don’t know if it’s much of a Shopify there’s something if you Google search or search Mass Marketplace as a service you know like SAS is software as
(29:54) a service there’s a term in e-commerce of marketplace as a service and I’ve actually used some so what I’m trying to say is we could be more like a Shopify I I guess but we’re trying to be more like making your own multi-vendor Marketplace so Shopify is more like a single vendor store of course you could use Hamza as your only one vendor and that might be the direction it goes but we are seeing it more as is you can make you as an entrepreneur or a startup and you want to start your own Marketplace in say you
(30:37) know like I’d love to do this for Jose you know say in in Venezuela you know he there’s a lot of people that want to get their own marketpl you know sell product you’d have to get buyers and sellers so it’s it’s bit it’s a bit of a bigger task and but bigger maybe it’s a different kind of business model than Shopify store if that makes sense but it’s a bigger under making and if I could just add my last part just sneak in there we are talking to very early but imagine we could even even Amazon
(31:08) but existing web 2 e-commerce Marketplace imagine we could say hey you should at least Embrace some web 3 why not add a section on your website web 3 Marketplace on you know in their brand and then that could be powered by dcom not Hamza but deom actually I’m we’re trying to get that name on handshake some maybe saw that but basically then that would be powered by decom not Hamza Hamza is the front end first decom Marketplace as you may have seen and dcom is the token and utility and infrastructure to make it but
(31:44) imagine you go to like any marketplace now like any anywhere in the world you know and you could see like a tab saying web 3 Marketplace and I think it’s like a bridging of web two and web 3 so we’re thinking maybe some existing web 2 marketplaces might want to be Innovative and add maybe they don’t have to change their whole current web 2 Marketplace but they could have early adopters maybe go on that as well so sorry I think you were saying something Alex but that’s that’s the idea Mike may I ask Sor may I ask how do
(32:18) how would you leverage Network effects in in a bunch of marketplaces like that decentralized marketplaces how how is there a way for for people in those or those marketplaces to leverage or use a a sort of a network effect so if you go to decom de. network you can get some ideas and it was also discussed and people can refer to the town hall with last Monday but just to be clear in case that was missed the utility of the U of the dcom token is to be the escro disputes layer not the so the disputes at Hamza would
(32:59) happen at the dcom layer so the so that’s one and I could explain that more deeply if you’d like to hear more deeply but basically the community of Arbiters would be at the decom layer not at the Hamza layer Hamza layer is a Hamza is a customer of dcom the second point is vetted catalog management so if this Marketplace say let’s just I don’t know if you want give me a name in Venezuela but say you’re Venezuelan Marketplace you could import from our dcom datab or blockchain you could import Irwin’s hns
(33:36) lapel pins to sell in your Market with his criteria so you could import the catalog sum are all of the catalog into your Marketplace and there’s a third layer third the third use case is the how do I say seller seller escro not escrow but seller skin IND is what I call it but basically we talked about this on Monday you were there I think you were even contributing to this this point so how do we trust this vendor how do we trust Irwin I trust Irwin I’ve worked with him a couple years he ships him me but how
(34:13) does a random person trust Irwin especially if you make a new Marketplace and import product into that and start selling Irwin’s products on multivendor Marketplace so one way with trustless trust how do you trustless Le trust the what what we’re solving is money money is way that so you can use the decom blockchain to stake becomes token or maybe even other token into it in a long-term staking contract so that if Irwin starts to be a bad Merchant he could have not just the because there’s a difference of the escrow of the orders
(34:56) versus a state deposit funds into a long-term contract this is like way to say if I do something bad as a seller and of course the blockchain can’t just take it there has to be the arbitration and the disputes but if you start to sell plastic or or or deteriorating pins and then people start to complain they could potentially arbitrate with dcom network to try to get some of those staked funds as urement for their damages so those are the three use cases of the dcom token versus the Hamza token Hamza is a more of a pure like Amazon Customer
(35:37) the first decom Marketplace even a t-shirt you might see me wearing around it says the first decom Marketplace even this decom talks you know dcom is our is our we haven’t launched yet that powers the marketplace with those three main utility so so it would be sort of like the glue gluing everything together as as B Tob it’s business to business right it’s it’s basically the main customer is the marketplace more than the buyer or seller maybe a little bit of the seller too the seller and the marketplace are
(36:11) the are the main user of decom the buyer might not we’re not going to force buyers to use tokens for gas or you know of course they maybe we can accept it as a currency if people want to pay with it but it’s not meant to force the buyer to use it because that would be in our opinion too much for friction so people can still use stable coins or eth or hopefully other currencies as we add them but the utility is more of a infrastructure one and of course of course the quote unquote generic governance in of voting
(36:42) for any changes in the in the in the structure of it I see and we’re moving to that sooner than we thought because as we’re fundraising people say the the Hamza token is is a security and you can’t actually I’m noticing I don’t want to call out namebase but I’m noticing most of the marketplaces in web 3 are are Equity they’re not token or the token is not really connected to the marketplace even Open Seas says it’s coming magic Eed and they’re not as connected to the marketplace so what we
(37:16) want to do what we want to do at Hamza is actually give the benefits of the marketplace to the holders of the token and back to meme coins it seems like governments want to to Just Launch meme coins when you actually give utility to a token they don’t like it and they call it a security and and supposedly you could go to jail for it so I don’t really feel like going to jail for selling a security you know well I I’ve already thought about this I guess if I go to jail I just have to go to jail if
(37:46) if I have to I mean I thought about that a lot the last couple years but I’m not going to try to do it on purpose or you know like B basically you’re like a Target if we fund raise on Hamza publicly we could they have the SEC after us or something so I don’t really feel like doing that because we give util the we give actual benefit to the Token isn’t it sound the stupidest thing it is it’s it’s totally nonsensical totally fine but if you actually give utility to the holders you are a
(38:19) security exactly and and rug pulling millions of people is fine it’s really [ __ ] sorry it’s really a messed up world you know and then you go to these events they’re more interested in your you know like yeah it’s all it’s this is I think this is why every gives crypto a scam and maybe governments do this on purpose because they don’t want it to be useful I think this is the honest truth because they’re scared if it’s useful it’s a threat to them if it’s like some Casino
(38:46) scam thing then they can just call it out and say it’s all a scam because they don’t let you make it not a scam exactly it it has reminds me of something Frederick Hayek said you know the the famous economist he used to say that you know we’re not really going to fix money unless we introduce something like that’s that can’t be controlled by Central entities he was talking he was saying this in the 70s and he was basically talking about Bitcoin but yeah he said unless we we introduce it in some Sly roundabout
(39:21) way I guess that’s what we’re trying to do with with you know decentralized marketplaces yeah so that’s why our legal council is telling us dcom token is is more is more of a is more I guess you can say utility but less of a security because it’s not as directly connected to the transaction revenue of the marketplace I hope everybody’s understanding and we didn’t want to strip that out of the Hamza project you know I guess we could have just still sold hza token and not given the benefits to the that but we decided
(40:01) not to do that and just rather go to the decom layer for the public exactly okay I don’t know I mean maybe questions or more input from others I mean I hope this has been interesting you know we’re still experimenting with the format of these spaces for the project but it’s feel we’re going more than the operations yep and this is more like you said the business side of things and and you know the evolving landscape and and all the challenges that we have to face it would it would be nice if we
(40:33) could get somebody from the shipping and Logistics maybe a freight forwarder to come talk in the next talks I don’t want to like yeah we could easily do that I don’t know if you even know but I’m a I’m a partner investor owner of a logistics company in China called easy China Warehouse I think you’ve talked to some of those in groups so they are fully aware of what we’re doing and supportive of doing it and of course we can get maybe Justin or CEO there on on a space that’s a good idea maybe that
(41:03) could be a future one it would be great it would be great because I I think that’s a question that needs so much clarifying and and you know and it’s it’s it’s giving us a lot of complexity right now because I see that we have a lot of sell and most of our sellers are like local sellers for example you have dtic store they’re selling this this great Health Moringa products natural products they’re only available I’m hoping I can get mine soon yeah by the way his store has been has been fixed I I believe he he will be
(41:40) able to see his really yeah yeah okay great all right well you know I think an hour is a good bit amount of time for this which is in about five minutes so does anybody have you know anything for us or questions or comments yeah um just regarding the the marketplace will it be only physical products or are you considering also Services well Jose he’s also a vendor as well as a team member but Jose is selling eBooks right now I I I know some of his customers are having trouble buying it right we’re sing that but we
(42:28) we originally thought only physical products I mean that was at least my thoughts because I’ll be honest I mean I feel like it’s just so hard to do so many you know because is you know everything starts simple or sounds simple but when he gets to details it gets more complex but you know we added gift cards if anything I’ve actually been enjoying that myself personally but you can buy gift cards and actually we I believe our raid is very competitive to other platforms so you could use crypto like various gift cards which are
(42:59) digital Jose’s book I think there’s a couple other digital products being added actually you talk about Services I had lunch with this contact a couple days ago she seems to think that we might have more success or another success with the upwork Fiverr model as a decom token but maybe not inside Hamza I don’t know maybe because it gets also harder for the user but I I’ll just say we haven’t really started to develop that and I think if we mentioned it to our CTO John he his head would explode so maybe we don’t
(43:31) Jose you simple but there’s a lot of details and differences but I guess essentially it’s not that much different of buying a service than a product but I think when you really dig into the flow and the details it is a bit different but I think on the decom layer hopefully if you wanted to make a Service Marketplace I believe the flow and they would be similar but I I don’t know I just like mixing Human Services with physical products on a one website it’s not even inside Amazon or I mean usually
(44:06) there’s marketplaces for services and marketplaces for products I don’t usually see them mixed together true I mean you were mentioning like the white label idea and I just thought about yeah you know quite a few people bring up a lot of people complain about upwork lately I don’t use it lately but a lot of people complain about upwork now quite a few friends I know are buyers and sellers on upwork it seems like they really also got predatory with I don’t even know what it’s called you need some kind of
(44:37) credits to apply to gigs or jobs and then you you they basically sell that’s how they are making more money they used to kind of like used to be kind of free to apply to a job post or a project post but I think there’s some I don’t even know the system but system and it seems like it’s making it more and of course they’ve I’ve seen people get shut down on upward quite a few times it is also worth mentioning that these platforms are not I mean the the demand for for these things in crypto would I imagine
(45:10) be huge it but to answer your question Alex yeah we right now we support digital products and and physical products so maybe that could be that that could be worked or repackaged as product just I think most anybody here is somewhat technical knows that these are huge requests that usually overwhelm a technical person so I try to bring it up in the short well I think this about wraps it up Mike I think this is good I hope everybody enjoys these I I I enjoyed you know I like I like it and but yeah I mean it’s
(45:52) it’s definitely not easy I mean any any anything is worse than anything is not easy at to be beginning so we’re always listening to your feedback and input and thanks for joining it will also be posted on blog. ham. Market probably in the next few days or next week and then we’ll also be sharing a handy con Jose I’m not sure if you know about handy con a few people here from the hake Community but handy con our fifth annual is next week at Handy con.
(46:19) XYZ yeah Bo’s gonna have a session there about Hamza you know irwins from the handshake Community with his lapel pins and you know Alex and others here so always appreciate that looking forward to the hset yeah I mean both’s great I he’s going to have some good insights and I’ll also be sharing some you know throughout the time a little bit updates on my side so I’m excited awesome always a pleasure to talk with you yeah yeah thanks I and I was late there too so appreciate that okay everybody have a good night or day
(46:54) or afternoon a good one Cheerio cheers [Music]

(00:00) [Music] all right GM GM good morning everybody our first decom talks so give us a few minutes as we get some of our panelists on board and get this party started be prepared for some fun stuff some giveaways some Q&A any questions are also welcom and Jose how are you guys great Jose how are you excellent perfect so we have another seller asking how to join so I think we have to maybe spend a couple minutes just getting them familiar with the spaces we’re onboarding know sellers not just to Hamza and decom but also to to X
(00:50) or Twitter so so air developa I think was we got to help him get in here see I just see him in the group also we should bring up only princess here thanks for making it I don’t know I see it as a listener I think maybe we should invite the sellers we’re going to be talking to today onto the stage if they’re able to is there a limit an or as far as I know no oh eight eight sorry it’s eight there is some limit I felt like I’ve noticed it before hello hello hello everyone Thomas is okay or only Prince what do you only
(01:36) Prince or stanzo cenzo forward slash couple different names I was actually wondering if you have the handshake names of some of these stores or I do own only prints I I had to make sure I grabbed that one off of handshake so yeah great that is a nice one great okay so we are just getting air developer here let me I’m trying to to help Roberto join but I can’t seem to do that Mike okay I mean he has to click that link and it he should click the join button like same as all of us have done so we maybe just resend them I’ll just
(02:22) send them the link again let me do that okay all right well while you get that going I I’ll keep get I’ll keep off so I’m Mike melini one of the co-founders of Hamza Market the we call it the world’s first decom Marketplace dcom is a keyword we’re building out to be decentralized e-commerce and we be building this for depends on what you say start right say I mean you’ve been talking a year and a half or maybe longer but fulltime development for a year all of 2024 was developing and now
(02:59) we’re into 25 2025 here still rather early in the second second month February and we’ve been slowly opening up the doors slowly onboarding some sellers which you’ll meet today um testing with Buyers getting feedback from investors working on new investment round working on white paper tokenomics we’re not going to focus too much on tokenomics web 3 governance incentives today today’s topic is dcom talks the purpose of this session is to get to know the people behind the screens behind the the shops
(03:40) talk to some of the first vendors of this amazing new Marketplace and learn about what a little bit their story their product get some ideas of what you can support if you’d like to be our first buyer buy their products maybe also potentially join us as a seller too and then we could ask answer questions talk about it and then if you’re more interested in white paper to economics incentives we have a town hall that happens in our Discord a Hamza Discord which you can join we had our basically both of these
(04:15) are new new initiatives so we had our first Town Hall open house for Hamza Discord just a few days ago and this is our first decom talk so this will be on Spaces that will be on Discord they are recorded this is recorded this will be redistributed after at least I hope it’s recorded is it recorded yeah it says recording okay so I’m super excited to get this going we have an is behind the scenes at the Hamza market account how you doing an hi everybody good to be here yes I’m good hope everyone too yeah
(04:56) we appreciate your support making sure this Spas is got going and you’ll also be sharing a little bit about snapch I believe right can I just confir publicly yes I am yes I am okay great great and only Prince we have with us today really engaged also from the handshake community and from years and been one of our first sellers thanks for making it here only Prince anytime great and we got Roberto here from Air developer of one of the co-founders and CEOs of air developer which is a first vendor here too selling
(05:36) Quality Air machines so how you doing Roberto hi all thanks for having me here I’m doing great looking forward to get this going yeah yeah it’s been fun working with you earlier on and and we’ll we’ll get into this and we’ll hear more about your your business your products in a minute perfect thanks for getting it to work and Jose also in the team to full disclosure but also very engaged seller that’s just launched his book Jose will be sharing about that how you doing Jose how you doing Mike uh
(06:10) thanks for having me here and good to be here looking forward to this yeah it’s gonna be fun it’s going to be a great one all right so know this is the first one we’re we’re testing the model but the idea here is we can get to know a little bit of these first vendors so there’s no particular order I maybe I’ll just start with air air developer Roberto so do you mind just introducing a little bit about your your business just generally nothing hums are related and more just about you and your
(06:44) business for us to learn about you in your company yeah sure yeah I don’t mind being the first this way everybody’s I know it’s listening at least yes so I live in Thailand I’ve been here for the last seven years and for those who don’t know which actually I didn’t know until I arried here is that there is a big air pollution issue over here uh particularly acute between December and April which means that the air quality is really bad there is a lot of smoke from burning all across the region well
(07:19) you don’t need to be a genius to know that’s really about for your health both short term and long term well I was living here in Thailand around 5 years ago there was no no machines which are called air purifiers that you can put at home these machines basically clean the air and allow you to breathe healthier so back then it was really hard to get one of those and also very expensive so I decided to make my own for context I’m a electronics engineer so I made my own it turned out to work really well and
(07:53) after that I decided to commercialize this product that’s how I start making air purifiers which I make them in in Thailand I sourc the part from China but then I assembled them here in in Thailand and I’ve been selling it nationwide since then long time ago I I added the option for people to to pay with crypto I was using coinbase Commerce but now I’ve shifted to Hamza yeah I’m really excited to start using this new platform and see how things go great great thank you so much R appreciate background and it’s been
(08:31) great to work with you I think yeah Jose and I have been working closely with you on on boarding and we really appreciate all your your input and support okay so we’ll we’ll come back to you in in a minute we’re just G kind of go around intros so only Prince only Prince is is one of the very first he he’s been willing to work with us in a very early stages still early but very early with some products do you want to do a quick intro and background for us here only Prince yeah heyy guys only Prince here
(09:03) or also known as Thomas I’ve been part of the handshake Community for a long time and Mike reached out to me he knew that I was selling the 3D prints I got into 3D printing almost a year ago I was just just something fun I thought it’d be to do on the side I Tred to I try to do something fun for the kids and lo and behold the the order I got lost it was these little 3D printed articulated dragons and for Easter they never came in on time so and like I joked around with my wife and I was like if I had a
(09:36) 3D printer I could have just printed these myself know instead of not having what I wanted for the kids to surprise the surprise the kids and so I just I just leaped in I ended up buying a 3D printer and just been expanding from there I started with just home stuff and then I started trying to sell online and it’s been rocking ever since I I do pretty much anything I mean it’s been a fun Journey if it’s plastic or rubber like I can I can print pretty much anything from phone cases to literally anything it’s it’s it’s been fun selling
(10:13) on Hamza has been great so far like I said Mike brought me on to H to Hamza I believe I was the first seller and it’s it’s been awesome so far like being able to LEAP into the dcom Merce area instead of the uh and all these companies that have power over over your money over your your types of sales they just have too much power and just moving over to dcom Merce at least I kind of feel like I’m a little bit more in control with how things are going regarding sales of any type of sale and peace of mind with
(10:51) my money as well so it’s it’s been great so far thank you Mike for bringing me on board and my pleasure I look forward to this journey with Hamza thank you thank you yeah we’ll come back to some of the some of the Hamza experience and things but this is a great intro so it’s really cool that you’re making things happen finding a problem like your kids products that you ordered and and kind of making them yourself and it’s 3D printing is is also a big revolution right I mean there’s
(11:19) the AI Revolution there’s this web 3 crypto Revolution there’s uh you know 3D printing it’s it’s a it’s a wild world the world’s changing fast but it’s exciting for you to be on the Forefront of that and and AI is starting to play hand in hand too like being able to create 3D models just from trying to just just from being able to describe what you have in your mind into let’s say chat GPT and then to be able to create a 3D model is it’s only going to revolutionize everything cool ideas come
(11:53) to life all right thank you so much so Jose up and then an this will be the four vendor so Jose your books hello my name is Jose and I’m working for Hamza as Customer Support I’m helping on board Sellers and this is our first coort and I’m privileged enough to be also a part of this first coort I am long before I was working on hamsa I used to be a university Professor here in Venezuela and I wrote a book about stochastic processes which is one of the subjects I taught there and finally I I’ve been able to to put my book online
(12:34) and sell it which is may seem some something trivial but uh actually it’s it’s pretty interesting because as some of you may know Venezuela is a country that’s been hit by us sanctions and it’s it’s basically people here don’t have access to USD banking services so being able to sell something uh for crypto and being able to on board easily and and in such a open platform as hamsa is or as we’re striving to to be is it’s it’s a GameChanger it’s you know it’s one of
(13:08) those Moment Like Neil Armstrong said when he hit the moon he said a small step for man and a giant for mankind it it may sound hyperb but this will really open up Commerce to many people that otherwise would not have access to so I’m very excited to be here and privileged feel privileged to be among the first cohort of sellers of ham great yeah we always like your passion josea it’s amazing and I I really I mean I really want to help you more build it out in in Venezuela I mean it’s put pretty glob even just these first three
(13:46) and then next is also another country but irand us Venezuela and then next is Philippines with an but it’s a it’s it’s our my passion I mean I think the too is to enable people to do to Commerce like allowing people to be able to make a business for themselves right like anywhere in the world that that’s been something for me personally for like since I came to Asia in 2007 so it’s great to see it happening and yeah it’s just a beginning one small step we’re still at the very small step but
(14:20) exactly exactly exactly thanks thanks was okay now the last intro is an represent snapch do you want to say a little bit about yourself and and hey everybody you hear me okay yeah loud and clear all right perfect Al righty so my name is an and I’m representing snap Chom I live in the Philippines and why we started apum originally so the just a little bit of a background CH is is a startup wherein you know maybe you guys have heard that the internet and electricity in the Philippines is terrible so I’m keeping my fingers
(15:06) crossed here the nothing glitches but yeah so Snapchat was actually the the the the the reason behind for creating actually creating the business for providing remote workers and Freelancers stable internet and electricity and of course increase our productivity and have more creativity and then just a few months ago it was it was a hamsa team that reached out to snapch and yeah why not start selling on Hamel which was exciting and also made me a little bit nervous at the same time because I live in the Philippines and if
(15:54) we are going to service like globally then that’s like a big leap for us but it’s very exciting so far we have some Electronics um orders that already have been delivered in the past couple of months globally which is amazing so at the same time we we are also excited that it’s not only that we can buy products with fat or Fiat but also we can buy items with crypto so looking forward to working more with Hamza with other products yeah we started with electronics because it made sense something that Freelancers and remote
(16:34) workers can use online remote workers I mean so yeah thanks for having snapch everybody and Hamza thank you thank you an all right so the intros it got me all fired up too I mean like I just said it’s pretty International and we have different backgrounds and different stories so I think the next the next question that each person could answer is somewhat you all been saying but maybe just more specifically is like why why why crypto or why blockchain or or I think some are more obvious than others but if you
(17:12) could give a sentence or two or or long a little bit longer about why do you why do you think this is needed you know versus the current system I don’t know if maybe in the same order or developer sure yes so for me there is a personal Inc incentive and then let’s call it a systemic one so the the systemic one it’s because I feel I guess it’s fair these platforms have control over all the Commerce operations because they created the the platform but at the same time it leaves particularly us
(17:50) sellers very vulnerables to very vulnerable to like a lot of bad acting from customers or sometimes when these platforms they get so so big the quality of service that they can offer the sellers becomes really low and sometimes you have to pay for the shortcomings so I believe you SE a decentralized web Free Solution where where sellers are more directly connected to customers it’s a win-win for for everyone long term at least and then personally well I’m I’m very invested in crypto and I believe in all the values that come this
(18:29) ization and being the owner of your own money or assets so it is also in my personal interest to that if I have a business I can offer my my product and my value through a web free interface or or exchanging or by using different tokens like it could be stable coins or it could be bigger market cap coins like ethereum Bitcoin and so on so yeah for me as an investor as a Believer it’s I like to put my what’s it say my mouth where my or my mouth yeah yeah yeah so yeah that’s it for me thanks thanks Roberto I I agree a lot
(19:20) with those points thanks for sharing yeah that’s my quick take from that is I almost feel like crypto’s gotten a little bit off track in my opinion with especially meme coins and even all this Defi and reaking and it it turned me off over the years a little bit honestly especially the Ico stuff and this one of our value our values here is to try to have real utility of of blockchain and cryptocurrencies rather than all this kind of like Vapor stuff right I mean that’s what we’re trying to do here and
(19:55) and and also showcase today so thanks thanks for your points next is only Prince what do you why crypto why you know I think you’re also on Etsy and other platforms now right yeah I’ve been selling on Facebook Marketplace and Etsy and and locally as well but like whenever it comes to online that like a lot of people we’ve all had bad experiences when it comes to other people in control of your funds I I would choose crypto over regular Fiat any day let’s see they have too much control over your sellers panel if you
(20:32) for instance hasn’t happened to me but if you get too many bad reviews then they can kick your your shop offline Faceook Marketplace and thank God they’re so controlling if know a print has a hint of blood in it or something from like a Deadpool hu Forge that I’ve printed and then they they take it off of marketplace and then give me a strike and basically leads into Facebook jail that’s what they call it it’s just it’s so much of a hassle trying to please your potential customers and the company
(21:06) and the company just has too much power so when it comes to stuff like that I I would just rather crypto and decom Merce it’s it’s it gives me that peace of mind I I don’t have to stress about if I post this print will it even stay online or anything like that like I have no stress about that whatsoever and then even for the fun I don’t have to worry about if somebody were to do a chargeback or anything like that like it’s it’s it’s done it’s it’s all in all it’s peace of
(21:37) mind and that’s what I love about crypto and it just that’s pretty much the gist of it I mean I don’t I don’t like it when a company has too much power and that’s why I’m on Hamza thanks thanks for that welcome and yours literally we are fundraising I spoke to an investor less than 12 hours ago and he’s saying like US market why do you need this there’s already all these platforms and already people can get everything they need already this is something I don’t know I mean I guess
(22:12) maybe the sellers have no choice but have to go where to buyers are is maybe what he’s trying to tell me but it was but I think of course the developing Market already unbaked so mov into Jose I guess it’s almost pretty obvious for Jose but I’d love to hear from himself like why crypto I feel feel like maybe there’s not it’s pretty obvious but I love to hear yours it just wh why yes it is indeed Mike I’ve hinted at this before but when you look at the Venezuelan case and how how we got into
(22:43) hyperinflation which I think is the future of the rest of the World by the way when it comes down to it we we it’s it was all about controls it was all about the government trying to centrally plan the economy and basically issue very stricty control things which which generated some corruption mechanism for some to take advantage of and that’s what led me to crypto in the first place so as you said you’ve been disenchanted with with crypto lately as seeing there’s so many meme coins and all that all that
(23:17) speculation and all that stuff we know about but for me I was I was led into crypto by pure necessity Mike yeah so as as a way not only to preserve my my my value the the value that I have but also to exchange with other people somewhere else in the world which I could not I could not otherwise do and that’s the value proposition of of Hamsa your investor says well why why build something that there’s already some of yes but all the all the alternatives are centralized and centralization leads to control as as my other colleagues have
(23:55) said and control leads to inequality and unequal access to to everybody in the market I mean I believe the market doesn’t have to be a zero sum game like if I lose if if I win you lose or vice versa I mean I believe we can all win and this is the path to do it just open up markets to anyone in the world and try to capture parts of the economy which otherwise would not be captured that I believe is is the main the main value proposition of crypto for me yeah yeah I well I always I think others on our team like how you you say these
(24:35) things yeah I think well you’ve also experienced it right I mean you’re just saying like it’s coming soon to a country near you I guess so yeah I don’t know a little bit scary but it does feel that way globally and so we all have to embrace this system maybe we don’t even have a choice or maybe you don’t even really have a choice and most many of us might not have as many choices in the future so interesting sorry perspective hello I hear you Jose hello I I can hear you I don’t know
(25:08) if people and can you hear me yeah I hear you okay I can hear everybody I guess Jose stops hearing us I don’t know Ann if you could tell him maybe privately but yep okay so let’s move to an and why why why crypto for you like or what what got you interested in it I know a little bit your story here well personally I’m a big fan of hello do you guys hear me yeah Jose we hear you an is speaking hello yeah let’s see how can I give us the Twitter spaces maybe I’ll call him on telegram give me a second all right okay
(25:56) I messaged him to disconnect all right so I’ll just bring Jose back to on stage yeah a little bit later all right and continuing with my story personally and I have been a fan of decentralization D web four years ago so it’s kind of tough It’s kind of tough toate decentralized for me especially if you’re not technically knowledgeable so crypto blockchain it’s all technological advancements and Innovation but I’m still here and taking the challenge and when I heard about decom it got me excited a couple of
(26:41) years ago or during covid time I I saw a local transaction that happened here in the Philippines wherein someone sold a house and he accepted crypto which was amazing so that really fascinated me so I think also sold the card two weeks ago which is groundbreaking congratulations on that transaction Hamza and yeah so basically that’s that for me and as for snapch values and maybe goals it basically snapch wants to provide a lot of opportunities for our fellow Freelancers and remote workers so not only in the Philippines but also other
(27:29) remote workers in Asia or other countries in the world so I’m really excited about that I keep saying that because I am so it’s kind of hard to maybe start a business only with but with crypto the sky is the limit yes you still have to be careful but for me it’s the sky is the limit so it’s giv the freelancer community here where I’m in better opport unities and yeah why not become Sellers as well yes so that’s that awesome yeah thanks thanks Ed yeah we’ve been working together for many
(28:10) years and it’s a pleasure to see because I think this is what it’s for I know like I’ve been a little bit venting you know Meme coins notter which is speculation and is fun I guess but I think this is what it’s really meant to be for so I use the word Empower we have a program we haven’t really released it yet and Empower a seller which is to help sellers be empowered and entrepreneurs be empowered to be able to sell and and and grow their business and you know hopefully we can have you know
(28:41) grants and others well at least training but maybe even grants in a in the longer term to help people do this so it’s great thanks for sharing with us and okay so we are going through some questions going around some rooms I think we also have a raffle from only Prince maybe now we’re getting kind of like deeper into this maybe at at the end we can do a raffle for those that are sticking with us for a free free only prce you want to share a little bit about that only Prince about your your yeah more so a giveaway we can do I have
(29:19) the special edition ham a prince I’ve only created 20 of them and that’s that’s all that’s going to be there no more no less but I’d be happy to to give away one of these to one random person that’s sticking around with us and unfortunately this is us only so if you’re not in the US then we can figure something out or or maybe if we can handle shipping costs but if you are in the US then I’ll cover the shipping costs but but yeah just the the international shipping gets kind of
(29:51) expensive but I’d be more than happy to to give one of these away to one lucky person that’s in the us tonight awesome awesome yeah we’ll arrange that for those people towards the end that can stick with us but let’s move to the next topic feel like I feel like we’ve already gotten the insights about the products but maybe we talk about where where it’s shipping because each one here is different so like where do you ship to and and and maybe why or know like air air developer your sh I love
(30:28) your we all love your story actually I did an unboxing I’ll send it to you later I I bought one and through Hamza and it was received and we did a getting I’m tweaking a little bit on the editing today so I’ll send it to you later but I’m enjoying it and I love your story because it’s made here in Thailand and and your story why but you’re currently maybe I know we’re talking about it but currently at least on Hamza you’re only delivering within Thailand and hopefully we can do more International too but do
(30:58) you want to maybe share about your like how your Logistics works so you make it in Thailand and they ship it out maybe each person can kind of talk a little bit about where it’s made and how it’s shipped I’m not doing too revealing but whatever you’re willing to share on the manufacturing and distribution for each person so let’s start with air developer yeah sure thanks Mike so yeah one of the things I take pride is that my product is made in in Thailand is is not just another Drop Shipping business where I
(31:32) just ship something from China nothing bad with that if anyone is doing that but yeah for me this is my original product that I designed then well I was lucky enough to find factories all across shangai and they provided me with a fair price not much higher than China so I took the decision to make it in changai because also this is one of my main branding strategies is that this is a homemade product so some people don’t care but a lot of other people they do resonate with this they like they they are supporting something local so
(32:10) actually yeah it’s not only like a functional decision is also a marketing decision to produce locally right now we only well we offer our product in Thailand but also in India so we we started the our journey in India it’s been very very tough but if you are in India and you have an Amazon account you can find our product in Amazon India but for the most part we we only sell in Thailand and it is very very expensive to ship internationally and that’s why we haven’t been able to do it yet but yeah
(32:51) those are my my Logistics awesome thanks for sharing and it arrived to me I ordered it and I think it was also over the weekend I think it arrived to me on a Sunday in Thailand I feel like they ship and deliver every single day but I think I got within three days from my order and it’s great I just plug it in it’s very simple and I’ll have a video we’ll also put it on the Hamza Market embed video and you can also use it on your site or anywhere else but it’s it’s very very easy to use and effective so thanks okay
(33:27) next up only print what your they’ve kind of shared it a bit but maybe just focused on how it’s made and how it’s shipped yeah so obviously I build everything in house and I ship from here I don’t I also don’t do the Drop Shipping as as well I mostly just Shi to the US just because shipping costs a lot of times I I know how much it cost to to ship from here on the East Coast all the way out to the West Coast or even Hawaii I I have a good General number in mine and I I price price my my prints around
(34:02) that number also obviously time and materials but shipping out of the US right now it’s on special occasions I I can do it but I try not to uh just because of cost factors a lot of stuff that I sell is fairly cheap and know it’s it’s kind of hard to to sell something that that is at a low cost but I mean the shipping shipping cost is like double or triple the cost of what my print actually what the the print’s cost actually is so as of right now mostly us shipping and just on special occasions bulk orders and
(34:40) whatnot is when I ship overseas got it yeah Logistics is that is the biggest challenge I mean I’m also a seller and the shipping is always the stressful part which goes to Jose which is a little bit of a different story but you can say it share your it is a different story indeed I’d like to apologize for the for disconnecting but there was a blackout here I guess it’s Ann’s fault for mentioning that well my in my case it’s it’s I have more of a proof of concept one of the neat things about
(35:13) about sites that it’s entirely experimental so I’m experimenting with sending a a digital product my book is is sent as a PDF so I don’t have any of the shipping Hassle and Logistics that you guys have fortunately but it opens up the the the space for people that that would otherwise not have access to to sell their stuff anywhere in the world so I guess that’s that’s pretty interesting and I’m pretty stoked about that it is amazing great and then actually we haven’t even talked about
(35:48) this Jose I’ll just say it live but you know you’re one of our first digital products and there has been others we have gift cards too so it wasn’t original idea to do digital we thought physical but we’re testing it and you have a choice in your distribution I’m not sure if you’re aware but I spoke to the dev team right now you’re manually delivering so I bought your book I’m H I’m so happy to be your customer and buy your book and then you emailed it to me but our de seems says it could be
(36:22) automated and you could automatically deliver from if you want but of course it’s got to get up excellent I’m just finding out about that Mike I feel like I’m you right now but I John and he says that could be either way it depends what you want so so that’s just a also for everybody here listening digital products is something new we thought it would be more physical product platform but we’re testing and accommodating so it’s great to have Jose all right and then last but not least and at Snapchat I think
(36:58) a couple people here says they don’t do it but do you want to share what what you do or we do or snap yes abolutely all right so for Snapchat yes Logistics was very very tricky because we had or have Global or International customers but we are very lucky to have a good Network in China good connection so a lot of our products are shipping from China and also there are a couple of the more expensive ones I don’t I cannot really share the details intirely but there are a couple of products that we are
(37:38) sourcing from other countries and then the logistics is being handled by one of our good friends as well shipping worldwide which is easy China Warehouse ECW if they are they have availability but uh on the Philippine side we already have a lot of what’s this what’s that how how can I say Web Two counterparts maybe web to counterparts that are ship shipping from different Asian countries so that is another solution that we’re doing at the moment yeah basically it all it all boils down on the cost yeah shipping is expensive
(38:23) but I’m very thankful that we have a good network from typically Global from Asia so Mike especially is also helping us connect with them and so far it’s going smoothly the big I guess the big challenge is that we cannot really like say how long it will take but it’s also the same when when it arrives to the recipient yeah we cannot really say specifically but good thing that the snapch China team are is also there to assist yeah we have a couple of people people helping us from there all right anything else to add maybe
(39:03) Mike yeah I think it’s clear so just to kind of sumarize it’s shipping mostly from China over International mostly everywhere around the world and it’s Electronics like you said especially the batteries is very tricky and so there’s various routes it has to go through but they are smaller items they’re not bulky so shipping from China is still rather affordable at a certain weight or size so these are light lighter weight smaller items consumer electronics which are able to be Shi within somewhat
(39:38) reason but they might arrive like yeah like 10 to 15 days from the order so as long as the buyer is aware of that which we try to show on those listings but yeah that that kind of covers it so I think let’s start to wrap up and this is our first Ecom talk maybe we can have if there’s somebody has question either even from the speakers or the audience but I just want to say we’re trying our best as you can say it’s it’s even making me realize we have people all around look it’s like multiple countries shipping to multiple
(40:10) different kind of setups our Dev team and our team has been trying to make it easier for people to filter and find the right ones right so we’re working on that and it’s it’s super exciting but is there any maybe something some here wants to say I mean so go to of course you all sell on other platforms but we would of course hope people listening could go to ham.
(40:37) market and find find these stores we can link them also in the in the show notes and they’re pretty easy to find right now there we’ll we have a links for each of them so you of course could support maybe we’ll go through a little bit if there’s no questions I can go through the order process because I know some people ask that and but is there questions or points that some people here on the stage would like to to say just open Talk may I please yeah Roberto I don’t want to put you on the spot but when do you when do you think you can ship to
(41:12) worldwide I mean your product is very interesting I’d like to have one of those myself those air purifiers yeah I’m I’m already trying to figure where it’s out but for now yeah it’s just too expensive because I have a similar problem has only prints my my product which sells at $50 sometimes if I want to ship internationally it could cost half of that and so on so it’s there’s also this kind of like psychological problem where like you obviously don’t want to pay so much for shipping when the product is is
(41:47) almost the same price as the shipping so yeah I’m trying to find ways I know the the Chinese somehow they can ship things very cheaply so I’m trying to get into into that Circle to see how they do it but yeah still working it out yeah you remind me I have I have an idea there’s there’s some ideas I have I the one way people do it is is it’s much slower but they consolidate into a consolidate into a container and then ship it and then break it in the end country but it be pretty slow but it’s more affordable and
(42:27) I think I’ll talk to you privately about that but but even from Thailand there are some that do that that I just popped my mind I should introduce you to that that’s on my list to do this morning but I mean the other issue I think is the size generally but yeah I’m going to give you a couple more options maybe it could work for you too but but Jose a lot of times what larger items do I me not saying it’s so large but it’s like mediumsized but they will have stock in those end countries or distributors in
(43:02) those end countries because I don’t look we haven’t really brought Trump but I don’t really want get political but he’s starting to add these various tariffs and and and the whole world is right now with even small Parcels into the US with he’s trying to I think tax everything inbound even small items so I’ve already seen sellers adjusting to actually use a Us warehouse and then ship from the US warehous house rather than it’s called crossb at least in my world shipping from one country to another so so some
(43:35) sellers are already adjusting with this new Trump World at least in the US is having stock and warehousing in us to sell there Roberto talked about India I think he has stock maybe in India he’s not shipping from Thailand so but of course the seller yeah warehouseing India yet so the but of course the sellers myself included we don’t want that means we have to tie up more capital on inventory and fill up a warehouse with certain amount of stock and pay warehousing fees and pay ship pay shipping and customs and and we’ll
(44:09) have that stock there until it sells so it’s not as nice for cash flow to do that all right but is that helpful Jose and yeah I’m going to keep working with the sellers here especially our first ones but long term we want to help help them succeed yeah yes indeed well terrorists will only complicate things more but yeah I’ve thought about that I’ve thought about since everything is is oriented right now towards everything being shipped to the US I don’t know how that will work out in the future but you
(44:41) know as they say problems generate opportuni so I I hope something might might something new might come up in that regard yeah there’s some I mean I’m even thinking about some ideas but I don’t want to get into it now but imagine using like I quickly say imagine people become shipping people and you can kind of use a human Network to bring things like when they’re traveling I’ve even seen that start up many years ago but I think it’s getting more possible now but it’s just an early idea any
(45:13) other po or final words we could use and then we maybe figure out how to do the raffle or drawing only Prince and an I don’t know if we could kind of do it after too maybe just see who’s here and and contact them on Twitter definitely yes okay just to go through the escrow process just so everybody understands so one of I think the the big differences of of Hamza Market from even people like Roberto says he had coinbase pay on his store is this escrow we been spent a lot of time on the buttons so we’ve been
(45:49) designing buttons for for for stores to use on our own websites or or social medias and we believe the esro is one of our differentiating services so the money is held in a not even held by Hamza it’s held in a smart contract which is a multi for now which means multiple people on a on a wallet that over time would be governed by the community but for now it’s we call it Progressive decentralization so it’s a team multi-sig for now I’m one of the signers but when you buy something on HS it doesn’t go directly to these vendors it
(46:31) goes first to this SM contract and is held there until released escrow and I’ll be very transparent we are still defining how that is exactly released but especi of course when the buyer releases it it is released to the seller of course the question is what if the buyer doesn’t release it what if the buyer doesn’t agree to release it of course ‘s shipping tracking numbers and others Jose’s got a lot of experience in this space over in the past and we will work to make this as as clear as
(47:07) possible but if the buyer doesn’t release the escrow over a certain amount of time it would be escalated to the Arbiters which for now is is the team but in the long term would be the community of of approved Arbiters which would see the case and make a judgment and there is even escalations we’ve had at long tokenomics calls about the escalation process so even if you’re not satisfied on either side of the outcome you could go to a second opinion and it could raise higher and this is the this is one of
(47:45) our building in our our platform and so we don’t use a stripe or a PayPal you know Amazon pay but we also I know I heard Thomas say no chargebacks it’s a very tricky one right because what if what if I bought you know the air developer and then I received it and I released escrow but what if a week later it it malfunctions in web 2 I could still charge back right I mean I don’t I hate to do that I don’t usually do that but I could dispute it but in this case if the funds are released I there’s not
(48:21) really a way to get the funds back I believe the vendors would be honorable we are working on a syst to solve that in our tokenomics where there’s some deposits and such separate from the escro I don’t want to get into that today’s call but my last part is we as a team decided to launch earlier we could have kept building we could have there’s still so much more to build and we could have kept building in private and not public but we as a team decided to open it up and these vendors today and a few
(48:51) others are our first and really appreciate their willingness to work with us so that’s that know we’re we’re at the one hour mark this was this worked out perfect I I enjoyed this I hope everybody else enjoyed this but what we’re going to do is on a regular basis this is our first one please support buy buy from these vendors give us your feedback on the experience on the products test the system there’s so much more to go thanks for being with us um just to add on I do have that giveaway
(49:23) ready to go for any that has stuck around I’m go ahead and run that right now sweet so stand by do I do a drum roll we got a new thing ‘s laughing here all right Terina you are the winner great so if you can’t message me on on X or Twitter but I think I’ll tell her that Thomas but she’s in Venezuela so I don’t think she will be able to to apply the nft I think there’s also the bronze nft from the hamah hand yeah we can do the nft then it’s it’s up to her if she wants to contribute toward shipping then
(50:05) I can still ship this out and she can get the nft or just the nft okay yeah I’ll talk to her about that don’t worry all right thank you and thank you to everybody that’s been uh hanging around was the only giveaway or yeah yeah for now that’s the first giveaway always the first the others are just still getting started so we we’ll work on more promotions and giveaways in the future so thanks Thomas always and only Prince for your support yeah thank thank you everybody that has came and listened for
(50:40) a while thank you all all right so yeah follow Hamza decom one we have the number one after because we got banned on the original for no reason I don’t know I think we’re sharing the login with our team which I guess maybe is the reason but yeah we have put the one at the end of homson dcom one on Twitter and you’ll get notifications about these future spaces and other other opportunities in this budding ecosystem so thanks all for being here with us I’m gonna head off now thank thanks everybody we’re only starting as as Mike
(51:13) said we’re progressively striving to become more decentralized and there will be more exciting things to come in the future thanks all right thanks everybody I’m going to head out thank you bye everybody [Music]

The evolution of decentralized is accelerating, and Hamza is leading the charge. Originally built on Optimism, Hamza has now expanded to Base and Arbitrum, marking a significant step toward a truly decentralized and borderless marketplace.

By embracing a multi-chain model, Hamza empowers both buyers and sellers with more flexibility, lower fees, and increased accessibility. Whether you’re buyer, an independent seller, a small business owner, or simply looking for better alternatives to traditional platforms, this expansion opens up exciting new opportunities.

Why Multi-Chain Matters

For years, centralized platforms have dominated online commerce, imposing high fees, restrictive policies, and limited payment options. Hamza.market was designed to change that, offering a decentralized, censorship-resistant marketplace where users maintain full control over their transactions.

Expanding beyond Optimism to Base and Arbitrum brings several key benefits:

✅ Lower Gas Fees – With multiple Layer 2 networks, users can choose the most cost-efficient option for transactions.
✅ Faster Transactions – Arbitrum and Base offer high-speed processing, reducing wait times for purchases and listings.
✅ More User Access – Different users have different preferences when it comes to blockchains, and supporting multiple chains makes Hamza more inclusive.

What This Means for Sellers

If you’re a seller on Hamza, this expansion means more potential buyers and increased liquidity. You can now reach users across three different networks, optimizing for cost and efficiency. Plus, by leveraging decentralized payments, you avoid the hefty fees associated with traditional e-commerce platforms.

A Step Toward the Future of E-commerce

The transition to multi-chain isn’t just about convenience—it’s about building the future of decentralized commerce a.k.a. DECOM. Hamza’s mission is to create a fair, open, and transparent marketplace, free from the control of big tech monopolies, redefining e-commerce by enabling the purchase of physical goods with crypto. This means real-world utility, broader adoption, and a marketplace that truly bridges the gap between Web3 and everyday shopping.

What’s Next?

Hamza.market is committed to continuous innovation. With multi-chain support now live, we’re looking at further integrations, enhanced features, and community-driven improvements.

Block Mountain week marked a pivotal moment for Hamza as we introduced our vision of decentralized commerce to the web3 community.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between web2 and web3, empowering sellers, entrepreneurs, and communities to break free from centralized control. Block Mountain, one of Thailand’s premier web3 conferences, was the perfect platform to connect with like-minded innovators and showcase what Hamza is all about.

Exploring Web3 Innovations at Block Mountain

Set in the vibrant One Nimman outdoor square in Chiang Mai, Block Mountain was a hub of activity. As a locally-driven event, many speaker sessions were in Thai, but the networking opportunities and exhibitions transcended language barriers.

One of the highlights was discovering a Crypto Clock, designed by a Bangkok-based electrical engineer and entrepreneur. We’re excited to collaborate with him and bring his creation to Hamza.market, helping him reach a broader audience in the decentralized commerce space.

Engaging with the Web3 & Crypto Community

Beyond the main event, Hamza had a presence at various side gatherings. We contributed to the Meme Coin session at Yellow, hosted by Denis from MemeIndex Org DAO, and engaged in discussions at Frying Fish Club, where web3 enthusiasts gathered to exchange insights and ideas.

Engaging with the Web3 & Crypto Community

A New Chapter Hamza Fundraising Kickoff

The highlight of the week was our official fundraising kickoff event on Friday, January 24, 2025. This marked a crucial step in our journey, as we unveiled our pitch deck and shared our vision for Hamza with a wider audience. The event brought together potential investors, partners, and community members who believe in the future of decentralized commerce.

As we move forward, we remain committed to creating a fair and open marketplace, free from the constraints of traditional platforms. Block Mountain was just the beginning, and we’re excited for the road ahead.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to shape the future of online selling with Hamza!
