The gift card promotion is in full swing, with emails, social media posts, and guerrilla marketing efforts live. Jose is actively recruiting members of the Venezuelan Hamza community to help spread the word. All tech prerequisites are in place, and engagement is building—though some post comments are being removed on certain platforms.

Homepage Improvement

The new homepage is live and stable, now in maintenance mode. Only small bug fixes are expected as more users interact with the updated layout.

Frictionless Checkout

The frictionless checkout feature is fully deployed, offering a faster and more intuitive buying experience. Like the homepage, it’s in maintenance mode for any fine-tuning as usage grows.

In Week 76, the Hamza team keeps momentum going as we shift from building features to bringing in users and sellers. With frictionless checkout launching, new landing pages going live, and our gift card campaign strategy unfolding, we’re turning product readiness into growth opportunities. Here’s what’s happening across the projects this week:

Seller Onboarding (Dev Team)

The dev team has removed the whitelist requirement for seller onboarding, making it easier for anyone to start selling on Hamza.

Gift Card Promotion

Jose and John have finalized the target lists for the gift card promotion and set a working plan in motion. Technical hurdles that came up are quickly resolved, allowing us to move forward with direct outreach and content promotion. The next step is executing on the lists and starting campaign activities.

Pitch Deck Revamp

The pitch deck update (Phase 1) is complete, with fresh messaging and visuals aligned to Hamza’s current product and positioning. Phase 2 is set to begin soon, though it is on lower priority as we focus on active campaigns and onboarding.

Homepage Improvement

The Seller Landing Page and Gift Card Landing Page are both set to go live, and the How It Works page is nearly finished. Deployment is scheduled for July 14, helping make Hamza easier to understand for both new buyers and sellers.

Frictionless Checkout

The dev team has finished and tested the new frictionless checkout. The updated flow removes unnecessary steps and allows faster purchases, especially for crypto buyers. Deployment is also set for July 14.

Seller Onboarding (Customer Support)

Jose is actively engaging with a local cell phone seller in Venezuela, explaining how Hamza works and preparing them to set up their store after some test purchases. This seller will use the new onboarding system with Jose’s guidance.

Decom Talks (YouTube & Twitter Spaces)

Jose has published a new YouTube Short, Become a Hamza Seller, as part of the Adventures of Kung Fu Hamza series. It’s the first video fully created using Google Flow AI. To help with organic reach, the team and community members are encouraged to create playlists on their personal YouTube channels featuring Hamza videos, improving SEO and visibility.

Buyer and Seller Acquisition / Management

The email capture pop-up on the Hamza blog site has been added and Shadstone with Anne is working on short-form image and video content to guide new buyers and sellers. Blog posts and emails are drafted to match the upcoming product releases, including the gift card push and frictionless checkout. She’s also engaging on Reddit to build awareness about decentralized e-commerce and is preparing a social media performance report for the team.

Gift Card Promotion

Jose and John finalized Phase 1 of the gift card campaign by drafting a plan of attack and compiling initial target lists. These lists are ready with further discussions scheduled to determine next steps. The campaign is now poised to begin outreach and content activation.

Pitch Deck Revamp

Mike and John made significant progress on the Hamza pitch deck, finding the most recent Figma version and completing Level 1 updates. This refreshed version set the stage for a tighter, clearer narrative aimed at partners and advisors. Level 2 updates were slated to continue after this current week.

Homepage Improvement

Following the homepage relaunch, Chris continued development on product subcategories and a new landing page experience. These upgrades aimed to improve content navigation and product discovery for users. Both subcategories and the landing page were expected to see continued work into the following sprint.

Frictionless Checkout

While initial frontend complexities caused a slight delay, the project has now been bumped to completion, and testing has been officially scheduled. This feature brings us one step closer to a smoother, faster purchase flow—especially for crypto buyers.

  • The “Hamza Auctioneers” video used price calls to showcase product variety.

This week, we continued to focus on converting key features into live campaigns, with gift cards taking center stage. While some items remained in UAT and planning, we saw solid momentum in content creation, homepage improvements, and our push into community growth channels. Here’s everything that moved across the board.

Discount Codes (in UAT)

The discount codes feature is now fully tested and ready for real-world use. No obstacles remain, and we plan to activate it next week as part of the upcoming gift card promotions. This will be our first live use case and an exciting test of both backend functionality and frontend engagement strategies.

Seller Onboarding (in UAT)

Seller onboarding on the dev side remains in a holding pattern, simply waiting for a new seller to test the system with. While no new development progress was made this week, the system is stable and ready once a seller is available to onboard.

Gift Card Promotion (New)

Jose and John kicked off the planning phase for Hamza’s first gift card promotion campaign. Several technical hurdles were identified early on—such as linking front-end awareness with our new payments and discounts—but solutions are now underway. One blocker was acquiring a credit card to promote the campaign on YouTube, which was resolved this week. Efforts are now shifting toward “recon” work: figuring out where gift card buyers are most likely to be found online, with more insights expected next week.

Pitch Deck Revamp

Mike and John began revamping Hamza’s pitch deck, aiming to tighten messaging, visual clarity, and alignment with investor expectations. The first phase of the new deck is ready to present, and a meeting is scheduled this week to review and refine.

Homepage Improvement

Our homepage revamp is nearly complete. Chris reported that most of the work is done and the redesigned experience is on track to launch this weekend. The new layout will improve product discovery, user trust, and overall aesthetics—an essential upgrade as we prepare for higher traffic from promotions and SEO.

Frictionless Checkout (New)

A new initiative to create a frictionless checkout flow was introduced this week. The dev team has completed early planning and addressed the primary technical hurdles. Development is scheduled to begin next week. Once launched, this improvement will make it easier for users to check out without login or complex steps, especially for crypto payments.

HNS Chat

There was no new progress on HNS Chat this week. The project remains on pause for now while other seller-facing tools are prioritized. Once other onboarding features are solidified, work here is expected to resume.

Seller Onboarding – Customer Support

No sellers were onboarded this week by the CS team. Jose noted that no new seller applications were in queue, so support will resume onboarding as soon as the next opportunity arises.

Decom Talks (YouTube & Twitter Spaces)

Jose published two new YouTube Shorts this week as part of ongoing Decom Talks content testing. The first video leveraged a current event—“War or Sanctions Won’t Stop THIS Marketplace”—to connect Hamza with trending discussions. The second was more product-focused, featuring an auctioneer-style format showing various Hamza items and their prices, intended to increase product visibility. Separately, Anne began running YouTube promotions with the “Kung Fu Hamza” video, but the campaign was flagged by YouTube’s ad system due to crypto-related policy sensitivity. As a result, we’re learning more about how to shape content that aligns with platform guidelines moving forward. Next week, the focus will shift to creating videos that support the gift card promotion launch.
